hm... watching that replay vs ben, about 3/4 through the first part right now...

perhaps you've already heard this advice somewhere else, but you need to expand a lot sooner. In the first few minutes, you had around 300 gold a few times and you could have used that to throw something up at your natural expansion right outside your base. Also, your main wasn't fully saturated. you should try to have at least 2 workers on each mineral. there were some where you had 1, maybe even only 1 on most. that puts you FAR behind on minerals. If you had more workers and an earlier expansion, you could have won before part 2 even started.

couldn't tell if you've upgraded roach speed or not either... and I don't believe I saw an evolution chamber to upgrade your roach/zergling attack/armor

 

you also didn't seem to use any hotkeys or control groups. those help TONS with getting faster. watch day9's tutorial. I watched his protoss one and idk if he made others, but he made a lot of really good general overall points that could improve your game.

its ten parts long, so watch as much as you feel like. the part on your actions per minute (apm) is a little bit overdone imo, and isn't too important for beginners, but its a big deal for me right now in gold league or above for me to try to keep up a higher win than lose ratio. The mental checklist thing is great though

@Prawn The reason for the not so early expansion was because as you said I took my time saturating my main

@Prawn As for the hotkeys its been a big issue of mine specifically with zerg its something im working on (I dont do the fail click click click as terran or protoss only zerg lol)

@Makki goto a torrent site and download the full version of fraps. afterwards load the fraps and RE-render it in windows movie maker as you can goto HD and compress the files DRAMATICALY 1hr of fraps = like 100+ gigs so when your done re-rendering the fraps delete the fraps files as they are MASSIVE. Or use Adobe premie which ill be doing shortly to better incorprate the audio and other editing.

@Prawn before I forget not this episode but the following ill be forcing myself to use control groups as late game as zerg my macro goes to complete ****

Ended up doing another late night match! and man this baby is a doooooooozy I come back from the brink of defeat! And teach a hard lesson to another player of "once you commit your army to an attack its all in or dont do it" as he learns the very hard way of dropping the ball on what would have been an easy win for himself

I ended up not posting a new vid last night due to playing with frost (2 wins in under min) than our 3rd match i got double ling rushed (epic fail) and lost in 2min...but frost was able to expand and hold off for like an hour after that (insane lol)

after that i tweaked my neck and went to bed so ill try uploading something for you guys soon today

Okay... So just chillin today tryings to think of some sketch ideas for the first episode of Adventures of a Zergling...and I thought for the pilot maybe id just throw a bunch of **** at a wall and see what fans enjoy the most....

Sketch ideas (in simple detail)

1. Start off showing a match of when I zergling rush a protoss and have his drones scatter everywhere... we than cut to the player freaking out in a panic as to what to do, his buddy than leans in and tells him to put on some Old Spice: Swagger to repel the zerg swarm.... we than cut to watch the protoss shower with some old spice swagger bodywash....we cut back to watch the lings retreat and in complete disgust they transform into banelings and just suicide for no reason...

2. Me and a friend go up south mountain (Arizona has alot of mountains lol) and two terrans discuss the idea of zerglings hating death metal (and somehow insert a gingers dont have souls reference lol) than on the mountain i somehow edit in a hydralisk chasing me and my fellow terran to some benny hill till the hydralisk gets fed up and just pegs me with one of those spikes and kills me. We than switch to a in-game cut scene of 2 terran soliders discussing that one saw a show on youtube saying metal scares the zerg... and they end up summong a nydus worm and all hell breaks lose on their outpost (than we can expand on said outpost)

3. following up with the outpost we see a in-game cinematic of a bunch of roaches charging said outpost and 1 lone marauder...who will say is Brian Urlacher.... and will have him mow down all these roaches..than maybe cut to some gameplay footage of rauders owning roaches....

This is mainly to get ideas of reference some of our viewers will or will not get. we will than mainly do episodes of the replays being acted will have some folks act as spazzes or stoners or 12 yo annoying kids etc etc etc

 

Newest vid and I wish I recorded this one live but I didn't (thoguth the match was just gonna be me ling rushing the scrub so I didnt record) INSTEAD we get a EPIC EPIC EPIC fight and I show the usefulness of BANELINGS!!!

if the vid gets enough hits Ill re-record with commentary from some folks and turn it into a 2 parter at 2x instead of 4x

The next episode(s) were gonna go a little informative as I and Frost show our latest strat that has proven to be obnoxious but effective in the 2v2 circuit. Were currently trying to figure out how to get both of our commentary in-sync without the match being streamed live. Ill try and have the video up tonight or tommorrow morning (going to go see "The Other Guys") tonight so i'll be pressed for time today. In the meanwhile 2 screenshots to just show how effective or new rape trick worked last night

On a side note one episode shows our strat working than frost DC'd so I had to continue on in a 2v1 to win it were going to try to pamper that clip with commentary from aleeeeesa or gemini

I know its been a few days but been busy with tourneys and such.....
