In Brood War, Terrans had mines, which were incredibly cheap and lethal scouts that could let the Terran player know their enemies every move. In StarCraft 2, there's nothing that really compares to vulture mines in terms of scouting, so I'm guessing they'll be at a bit of a disadvantage.

Also, you don't need to have proxy pylons and building to have mobility... to be mobile, you simply have to have enough securtiy to move around; for example, Terrans in Brood War weren't very mobile, because they'd be utterly destroyed if they were caught unsieged, and thus they had to do slow pushes to get anywhere until late game. Protoss and Zerg are very mobile, in that they'll have observers and Overlords providing map intel, fast units, and units that can easily retreat if caught out of position.

To me, I always felt that the terrans were a steam roller slowly advancing and crushing everything in its path when used at their best. The zerg was nothing more then fast moving dogs and they could reach the lines but do only minimal damage, and the protoss would get there as well and do more then their fair share of damage, but would fall as well.

Uh.........Guys think about it, whenever you build with Protoss or Zerg you have to build a pylon or have creep right? Terran is the only race wich does not require that, if you had watched the Battle Reports. The one with the Terran vs Protoss, the only reason the terran won was because he lifted up his CC and droped it into a expansion wich you have to break rocks. The toss player was totally unaware and screwed his economy, thought he had the win, he didnt.
Btw a little fwi, ........they have reapers. Or whatever those jet dudes are.

if hellions will get spidermine that will be too OP for the terrans considering that every unit of theirs has a skill unlike other races... well maybe thats what distinguish them among other races, anyway, the vulture will still be in the game via map editor so theres really no big deal about it, coz there will definitely be map makers putting in lots of old school units like the vulture and perhaps even the terra tron =)

The terran have their vikings, and reapers. If you were to send in a bunch of vikings, and bcs to attack the enemy's defense, they would react by sending in most or all of their troops. Once they are distracted you can move in your other vikings, and reapers. This would destroy the enemy player. The viking can pop in the enemy base with it's morph ability. The reaper can pop in and set a few charges. Both can kill the enemy if caught off guard. With the buildings being able to fly. You can send in a few barracks behind their base. Then have them land and start building the reactor. Once that's done, you can start building reapers. The terran alrighty have plenty of mobility. Once used it can kill a player if they aren't prepared.
