Terran, Theoretically the most powerful race?

Terran are weak vs. the protoss so no they are all equal

Stop to think for a moment. How could the Zerg defeat the UED, Dominion and the Protoss?

Because a Terran was leading them


Jokes aside, you can't claim that a race as a whole equals one negative trait.

 

Hmmm... the thread is titled "Terran, Theoretically the most powerful race?". Note the word Theoretically. A lot of thinks work in theory (such as communism) but do not work in practice. So is Terran the most powerful? That is a different question to if they are theoretically the most powerful race. But they both have the same answer. No. Theoretically I'd say Protoss is the most powerful, with all there high tech gidgets and gazmos. But the real winner of powerfulness in my opinion is the Zerg. Why? Because I like them.

Define powerful. lolz anyway im just saying that terran is too greedy and I didnt intended for that to mean that the zerg is the most powerful, Terrans greed for power is superb and wont be defeated by any1 thats for sure... unless some infested terran from space wants to do so too..

Anybody here says that Infested Kerrigan is a terran say "im a terranosaur".... lol, do you know who sendforth Sarah for the 1stplace?? "cough zerg cough!" will she be willing to accept infestation without regrets?? U better think it so. coz people wouldnt want to be succumbed to alienations at all... Ever.

 

think of it this way:
there are two major categories, strength in numbers and strength in technology. sort of quantity vs. quality

Numbers:
1. Zerg - clearly the "swarm" has the most power in numbers
2. Terran - not as many as zerg but more than protoss
3. Protoss - the least populace race

Technology:
1. Protoss - not much argument here
2. Terran - nice technology but not to protoss level yet
3. Zerg - little to no technology to speak of, relies on organic ability

Overall:
Protoss - average of third in numbers and first in technology = 2
Zerg - average of first in numbers and third in technology = 2
Terran - average of second in numbers and second in technology = 2

therefore, all races are "theoretically" equal overall. zerg and protoss have something that they are superior in, and terran are more well rounded.

 

Just because Protoss has the least populus, doesn't mean they can't kick ass. As someone said a few pages back though - the Terran and Protoss have no reason to fight.

 

^ Well, no good reason to fight, anyway. It's human nature to react with fear and hostility to individuals swho look different from themselves, so the fued between Terran and Protoss could possibly be attributed to racism, and of course the Protoss ego in general won't let them live peacefully with Terrans. Even if they sought diplomacy, it was more of a "get out of our way, children. The adults are talking" attitude. A perfect example is a quote from Artanis during the briefing for the Protoss mission "The Battle of Braxis" -
Artanis: "Have faith, Zeratul! You almost sound as if you fear these humans. What are they to such as we? Was it not we who defeated the dreaded Overmind?"
It's that kind of attitude that makes me miss Fenix all the more. His friendship with Raynor set a great example for all Protoss. I just hope that Zeratul hasn't let his kin forget that lesson in the past four years.

Getting back on topic, Mucram007's post makes me think twice about Terran - they may be theoretically the most powerful because of adaptibility. The Swarm's evolution may be supercharged in general, but it's still evolution, and that takes time (four years to creat Banelings), and the Protoss are loathe to change, so we can expect them to stay mostly the same. In the Terran's case, we know from the novels and campaign missions that they have non reservations about radical experiments (creating their own infested terrans, etc.) and that alone means the possibility of radical new developments.

 

All that's true. I guess the Terran can advance the fastest, generally because most humans can work together - unfortunately that's also what causes the stop in development for Terran. I agree with both the Protoss/Zerg though. =D

 

The Terran are not advanced technology at all compared to the Protoss it is clearly stated by Blizzard on the offical Starcraft 2 website.

Here is the description of the Terran

"Forced to adapt to the harsh existence on the mostly lifeless worlds of the sector, the terrans are masters of survival. With neither the advanced technology of the protoss nor the natural prowess of the zerg to rely on, the terran military forces consist of a varied mix of units"

 

The question here is how do people normally react to aliens?? lol

1. Kill em all before they get you
2. Befriend them and have a happy ending
3. Run like the wind bullseye!
4. Never talk to strangers
5. Annihalate and Invade
6. Study about them
7. Play safe then backstab them
8. Be racists and claim dominion
9. Play dead?
10. Mind your own business

lol, If any of those are your actions then you are a certified terran, coz out of all creatures, the terrans seem to be the most diversed and the most irrational, unlike the zerg w/c are just pawns of one leader, protoss who acts for self preservation and racial beneficence.

In the end, we might conclude that terran will be the most powerful of the 3 races on the long run, given that they dont die before they become united once and for all.

Best technology wins! So, Protoss.
Numbers will fall out when you have best tech. Always a step ahead.

I assume by Terran you mean the Dominion.. Not including the UED.
