Terran Ship Spotted: What is it?

That "thing" where some people believe is a dropship while others think it's the platform. That's what a starport should be like in SC2. It should be hovering high up in the air all the time, not attached to the ground.

 

How can people think it's a platform? A platform is something flat, that's what plat means. It's just a neutral Dropship that's below the playable terrain.

 

its jsut a cool doodad, like nuke cola, or the nightelf stripper, or the giant planet in the background.

It isn' THE playform but it probably isn't a unit; just a doodad.

 

surely its just another props or doodad. anyway if units looks like that (part of doodad / props / background) it would look realistic and it would own but at the same time it would be confusing.

 

It's def. just a part of the map as everyone has said. I agree that this tileset is prob part of the terran campaign because of the drop ship that is docked in the bay. It's a shame that this isn't something you can use. It would make more sense if you could do something with it. But at the same time I don't really know what the point would be.

 

The ship between the two Battlecruisers in the first picture is obviously a dropship.
The ship in the docking hanger in the first picture is obviously a dropship. And also obviously a doodad.
The ship on the docking platform in the second picture is obviously a dropship. And also obviously a doodad.

There is no question about any of these.
But just for shits and giggles, heres a dropship just so you can be completely satisfied.

what would a dropship be going attacking?

 

maybe the battlecruisers are guarding it and it was going to drop something off.
Or maybe it's a screenshot and they were just showing off the unit.

that looks like a landing dropship and the player has a lot of mins :O

 

why are you people still arguing this point? look at my post on the second page with the picture on it

 

I think the one at the dock is just a doodad, similar to the marine's dead bodies doodad in original StarCraft.

 

The white ship lower than other air units... dropship doodad.

The white ship in the bay, dropship doodad.

The white ship on the space platform, dropship doodad.

The red ship in between the two Battlecruisers, Player Red's Dropship.
