Terran Crucio Siege Tank Announced on Official Site

The Siege Tank took out the Marines in one shot apiece - even while the Medic was healing them! Pretty tough I think. Although the Medic did take two shots.

I like the name Crucio. It fits. And just like the Nomad, the design is starting to grow on me. I'm all for making it better, but I'm not going to complain if its how the final version looks.

 

On the contrary, siege attack damage has been increased (or percentages have been changed with damage type + armour type). 1 shot is more than enough to kill a Marine, watch the video again.

And about having a harry potter tank in game... well, I'm not a terran player so I find it funny and all the more pleasing to pulverize.

 

You have to put into consideration that if something is a one hit kill why would healing the dead object do anything? It isn't damage over time...

I thought it was six sets of tracks. The Arclite Siege Tank had four sets of tracks.

 

What about the attack rate? I remember there was a video somewhere that showed some siege mode tanks in action, and they attacked pretty fast, at least faster then the original siege mode tanks.

 

That was in Assault mode. The Crucio is better in none-Siege mode, compared to the Arclite.

 

But it is also better in siege as well

 

This sucks, they just took the most deadliest tactic in the game (terran push), and made it even deadlier.

Yeah I love that tactic, it owns protoss.

 

I wonder if their sight range was kept while increasing attack range. That makes scouting support more crucial.

I am not sure, but shouldn't we continue this discussion in the Siege Tank thread?

 

Great Update, but i just dont understand the new updates on to it, just looks like a buffed up Siege tank.

Also, that siege tank has a very large radius if you look at how far away the medic was, very nice. But a pain for my Cannons.

the new siege tanks looks pwnage. i like the 6 tracks, 4 tracks would make it look thin and gay. i want my big bulky badass siege tank, what a sci fi future tank should look like unlike in sc1. and the siege mode looks great too. =p

see it looks gritty enough and terran. i can't imagine what more trash can be added. please no.

So... what do you all think its forum cost will be? I'd say around 5200.

 

Good guess! Although I think that it will be a wee bit cheaper. The colossus costs 4480 5600, and I can't logically imagine a Siege Tank being almost as expensive. So.... 4200? (That's more than double the cost of a Viking (1950) .)

A Colossus should cost like 1.5 of a Siege Tank.
