World of Diablo could actually have the potential to work pretty awesomely. Much more potential than WarCraft, as just look at how successful it was.

Then again, Diablo is like the poor gamer's best friend.

Well, remember the Protoss aren't exactly "dead", they return to the Khala, so, in a sense, they're still alive.

Tassadar back? Nahhh....he's a hero and a martyr now for god's sake. Don't mess with the storytelling. It's better like this. We even have units saying En Taro Tassadar by now. What you could have, is perhaps in the newcoming protoss campain, Artanis or Zeratul comunicating with Tassadar by channeling of the Khala's Energy, just like Yoda in Starwars communicating with Qui-Gon. That would be a cool thing to put in the gameplay between battles. (instead of inside Hyperion, a Mothership, or a Carrier Tempest something like that).
Like that Tassadar keeps his status but makes an appearance which would satisfy everyone.
