Tassadar IS the protoss/zerg hybrid!

There are some problems with that argument that Tassadar is the hybrid. Tassadar died when the Ganthrithor did its kamikazi run on the first overmind. If Tassadar is the hybrid, then what are those things in the StarCraft: Brood Wars mission, where Zeratul finds that Duran (Xel'Naga) has been creating hybrids? Lastly, if Tassadar was the only hybrid, what is Duran's role?

Tassadar was the leader of the Protoss fleet that destroyed Chau Sara after the Zerg overwhelmed the planet. Following the evacuation of Mar Sara, his fleet then destroyed that planet. He then destroyed Antiga Prime after the Psi Emitter was deployed. However he was halted by Sarah Kerrigan and her detachment on the orbital platforms above Tarsonis. The Zerg then eliminated the Confederacy's primary bastion of power and colonised that world. Tassadar was later discovered by Jim Raynor and his rebellion group, and the two joined forces. During the Protoss Campaign, he never once attempted any subtle means of melding the Protoss and the Zerg - rather the opposite - he wanted to eliminate the Zerg. And he maintained this approach until he died.

 

Yeah i agree. <3 Tassadar, but i'd rather have Fenix back since his second death wasn't as... glorious as Tassadars. I remember being sooo pissed the first time i played the mission where you had to kill him.

resurecting any of the old heros would be cool, but for Fenix is the problem that he died 2 times, at the first time it was logical that he retuns as a dragoon but the 2nd resurection hmm, the info about Immortals on starcraft2.com writes

As for Tassadar imo he became pure energy of High and Dark templars, after the crush in to the overmind, the ship exploded and he (as energy) destroyed the creature.

 

Actually, with that said Tassadar's return as an Archon _almost_ makes sense

Translated in english: "Who died... doesnt alive". What is the sence of resurecting dead guys from the first game? They are dead!!! Understand this...they cannot being alive cuz sacred protoss shrine is no more. Those Immortals are just remaining dragoons with some upgrades. Tassadar wont comeback! Hes dead, and nothing will change that.

Dude, he crashed a huge SPACESHIP into the Overmind. I can guarantee that if I (in real life) take an aircraft carrier and crash it into a shipyard, you will NEVER, ever ever ever find my body.

 

Unless of course Tassadar slammed Ganthrithor into the Overmind so hard and so fast, that his essence merged with that of the Overmind.

 

incase any1 didnt bring this up alrdy tassadar turned his body into pure dark and light energie (light from the high templar and dark from the dark templar yes he can control both dark and light energies) and then flew into the overmind so i dont think theres a body of tassadar anymore

also the main reason blizzard decided to bring fenix back (other than Fenix being aweasome) is that his name was fenix as in the bird that when it dies it is reincarnated

 

the gantrithor never hit the overmind. it self-destructed into a ball of khala-protoss and void-protoss energies, that then hit the overmind.

Since Tasso turned himself into pure energy, both dark and light(normal, i guess) energy, the only way he could return is as the new protoss unit that needs a DT and a templar to meld. Nothing´s comfirmed about the unit or whatsoever, but in blizzards official website you can read that it is possible for the darkie and the lightie to join now, after the unification of the two in the first game.
