Suggestion: Auras

    Well I think we dont have to have any visuals, just every time theres a hero around units get a bonus.

    yea, i think its better just to implement auras on missions with heroes so it would have a boundary over the game and lets face it, we play the skirmish modes 65% - 75% of the time, so atleast we have a little edge when it comes to the missions with heroes with the help of auras

    but not heroes in skirmish modes....... although interesting...... just no....

    Yeah this should only be for campaigns....it would also make heroes more valuable.

    Edit:Just remembered Koreans are pro with Microing Heroes!!!!

    I'd have to say a no-go on the auras. I can't see them happening...unless each race had one unique "aura." The only things I could imagine would be:

    Toss --> some unit to enhance shield regeneration (but its already been increased so no...)
    Terrans --> perhaps a unit that increases coordinated attacks since soldiers/officers would order attacks....but that makes game play mindless so no...
    Zerg --> only unit that would make sense with an aura would be the overloads, but they already have "control" roles, so I dunno what they could do to enhance the already "mindless" zerg minions

    So...negative on auras lol...they work very well in warcraft...but its a totally different universe and playing style than SC...

    So what would my suggestion be considered as? It wouldn't be an aura would it? (The Special army ability hero thing)

    I say NO WAY, starcraft 2 is more about the cold hard facts of life in space (with the exception of Psi) i think that auras shoud stay in wc3 where they belong

    I actually think there is a kind of aura in sc.. The dark swarm, oh and the arbiter! Just remembered. So just look around, before you judge

    dark swarm is more of an AoE imo, but arbiter's cloacking is sort of aura

    DS isn't an aura. But I can agree that the Arbiters/Motherships cloak is a sort of aura.

    By the way, I like to use the arbiters to hide my armies, really useful. I agree we don't need plenty of auras, but it could be added as a speciality for one of the races

    I haven't really used the Arbiter for a real battle only statis and recall and thats about it..

    Then try it as defence. Put one below the probes, if you are rushed there, just take out the detector unit and all the attackers are doomed - can't kill out the workers. ( I think the protoss scout was the most useless unit in the game...)

    I don't see that auras would be necessary in SC2.
