Haha... well you have to take into account that this model is probably a decent bit off from the real thing. I only got to see it a couple times in actual gameplay, and the unit description in the UI was still the old Nomad design.

Think of this like concept art ;).

    Added a poll, btw.

To me, it doesn't look like it would... build things.

Anyway, the first thing that came to mind when I saw it was, "that looks like a Phase Prism" ... or at least, a sideways Pylon. Like Tankman said, it really looks like it is more Protoss than Terran.

Haha, you should've seen it when I drew it....

I turned it back right-side-up and was like.... "We require additional pylons!"

The old modal just looked like some one got the idea by watching his child play with blocks. However I can't say the new one is better till I see an actual picture of it in a screen shot, to see if it looks out of place.

I hope your memory is really bad because that is ugly and doesn't even look like it would be useful in any capacity.

I liked the old design because the nomad had a utilitarian look of a civilian industrial vessel.

Not only does this new one not look like a utilitarian or industrial vessel it doesn't look particularly Terran either

Well I hope that I'm conveying it wrongly as well...

I think you guys will be a bit more pleasantly surprised when the official model comes out. I was just trying to give you guys a general idea of the unit.

I think it would have been better if Blizzard had simply allowed us screenshots of the unit. :-\

However, I can promise you that it looked a little sleeker in combat, but don't expect this thing to be the rugged style of the Nomad.

I like what this new Nomad will look like.

Reminiscent of the Science Vessel. The center pod and outlying plates.

I like the model, but I'd have to see an actual screenshot before judging it thoroughly. But as of now it looks more like a fighting unit than a caster.

I like the idea of the model, but I feel like it is more suited for the Science Vessel, and not the Nomad. The difference being that the SV cast stuff, and the nomad makes stuff, and I just can't see some sleek looking ship making a bunch of turrets. Despite this, I would rather have this to look at in game than the old model.

doesnt look like it's capable of building stuff like the old nomad did.

    otherwise looks ok.

It looks very Terran-like, which is good. It doesn't look particularly strong, but it looks like it has a specific purpose. That's the Nomad.

I think they should change the name of the unit to go with the look.

I am sorry to say this, but changing the name of an unit to fit with the look is just a stupid thing to do. The nomad is a weak, lone unit that relies on special "tools" to be able to survive on its own, just like a real nomad. The new look does not give me the impression that it is able to even drop those turrets. Is the Terran race not supposed to be a race of minimalists that do not want to add anything that is not absolutely neccercery to their troops? Then why have they added those weird circle things to the Nomad? They add nothing to the functionality of the unit at all. So why not use the old model.

Lol it does. But its only a basic outline form of what the new Nomad looks likes. So its hard to actually judge.
