I am very grateful to the admin for his commitment to the forums, but who can deny that that currently this is the most depressing place ever...But I'll wait a few days until things normalize..
I always thought that SMF was much better than Vb, but Im no expert, I only can compare the old forums with some other forums I've been to which use vb..

I miss that too.. I think there will be, but we have to wait for a while.

There are a lot of changes that still need to be made in almost every category. The admin will be working on these in the coming days and a lot of this is simply going to be learning the new format. I will change what settings I can to make the forum a bit more navigable.

So just be patient and ready to enjoy a faster and more user friendly site in the coming days.

 

theres a option or code on VB that enables you to choose diffirent themes or backgrounds that sc2 may make, but im too lazy to type it.... regarding sigs and avi, the avatar may have a limit in size, but the sigs to my knowledge have no limt ^^ anyways, no further flaming until the forum is 100%

the positive side using vb is that it loads faster

 

Of course it loads faster. The good news is that I've found the problem. The bad news is that I can't fix it... have to alert the admin.

It's better than before, but it's going to get some getting used to. The BBC codes for example don't work.

 

Will we ever get the old format back with the user data on the side and the rank pips? I liked that format so much better.

Also seeing as you are reworking the forums caould you please enable HTML in posts and sigs

 

regarding sigs and stuff

if your sig has like [img ht= img width blablabla] url of your sig [/url]
just replace this-----------------^ with

 

I just had to delete the height and width measurements and keep the img in the brackets.

Voila. Heavy signature.

I CAN'T FREAKING NAVIGATE THE FORUMS! I don't even know how to get to the main forums page without pressing back... I really hate the layout...

 

There are a couple of options. First you could use the jump drodown bar at the very bottom of every thread. Second, you can scroll to the top of the page and use the various links that show you where you are. Or third, you could you could use the Portal/Forums links at the top of every page.

I still need help on finding the shop. I've been seeing a lot of people talking about teh new shop but I can't find it. Is it even up yet??

Also, pets are talked about since there is a possibility of pet fighting in the forums, so we could fight eachother's pets

 

The forums are still in a process of being worked on and updated thats why some things that were on the old forum aren't available yet give it time.

 

Ah... I see. Is the site still going through a change in layout and the way it looks such as:
coloring, texture, post layout...etc?
