Yeah, I apologize for their getting deleted but it's necessary to trim down the DB for the transfer as well....

I can pretty much guarantee that Space Junk threads on the NEW system won't be deleted unless they're REALLY old.

 

Hi guys, yes, space junk was purged for threads that had not been posted in for more than a month. It was painfully slow to move the database over with all the threads in there.

There will be a somewhat new layout, but when we make the move, the forums will take some time to theme. It will not be the standard layout, and I hope to get it looking as good/better than the current layout. I too, am not fond of vbulletin default layout!

Stay tuned, the update will come soon!

 

What I was thinking is that we each get our own code for the pet/item we bought which is a unique code that tells you how much it is worth depending on when it was bought. Say my 1st Edition DT,
The code might be:
DT1454108

DT obviously is the Darktemplar
The 1 is first edition, if it is normal, it would be 0
45 meaning like the 45th bought out of say 100.
4108 is the date it was bought.

Maybe something like that?

 

That might take a while to go through each and every one.

And I think lots of people are just ready to go on.

 

But I might lose my pets because I just bought them today.. And they were first editions too! I really don't want o be cheated out of my money because I didn't know there would be such a huge overhaul. I only came back to the forums about 3 days ago maybe.

 

You might want to PM sc2forums after the move then, or preferably right now.

The complaint was that Darktemplar didn't know about that so he bought pets after the catalouging and is afraid you will miss that fact

 

Oh wow how did I miss that... I must be more tired than I thought...

 

Yeah, that's what I meant. I was just full of adrenaline and fear that my 6000 minerals from posting and a few contest will go to waste!

Do we have a RSS Feed for the Main Page news? If not, it would be nice to have it on the now one :-D

 

Darktemplar_L, even if your new pets are not recorded, your minerals will be and you will be able to repurchase those items.

marcusrodrigues, we currently do have RSS, and so will the new site.

I am currently preparing the new server I bought not too long ago which the new site will move to. The site will run a lot quicker than it is currently, and coupled with the cleanup and overhaul, it will be even faster!

 

So, should people expect a decrease in their post count due to the cleanup?

I am very disappointed and angry at you admin for the way you treat space junk.

 

GM_k get over it. Most of that is just spam anyway. Don't you have more important things to worry about?

 

Will your own notes (those only you can see), be reset too?

 

Will the PM's be reset???
