    Lol Boxers SCV rush - with Drop Pods (jk, that wouldn't be a rush :p)

    But faraway expanding will be easier to get going. Terrans got the choice to fill an allready built CC with 5 (or 6?) SCV's and fly over to the mineral field too. Such diversities, yay. :D

    Wtf, I made a post after IO saying that 2 would probably be the limit since they said 4 Nomads could produce 8 turrets fairly quickly and its gone. This same thing happened on the Siege tank thread :[

    Anyway by the time you get ghosts and drop pods wouldn't an scv rush be ineffective lol
    Also would you really waste those minerals drop podding scvs to an expa when you'd have transport by then but the transport can be vulnrable.

    Also I think I'd use Drop pods mainly in part2 attacks where the enemy is focussed on the larger army attacking then them booomm call in some pods to their minerals with Reapers or Marines and a couple of Medics :D

    Also a Nomad rush would be quite effective but not imba, look how powerful the Protoss units are, and since it took 4 hits for the Dark Templar to kill one turret it probably has 160hp with no armor, this just means its not a target for easy one unit kills it would require 2-3 to take it out quickly which I don't think is so bad.

    It sounds more like 100-150 hp with 1 or 2 armor, "building" armor when counting bonuses (Siege Tanks gets + 50 against "building" armors I think) .

    I think buildings should have actual armor that can be upgraded at the comand center or something, protoss can upgrade shield. It would make more sense, wouldn't it.
    A new batch, oh boy. How would you abuse the drop pods or turrents? Turrents aren't that strong, the dark templar took two hits from the siege out of siege mode and a few marine shots to die. The turrents had to shoot the dark templar a few times that had been shot by marines for a while. And probablly has been upgraded to the maximum to make it seem beter then it is, like Carriers (Hahaha...), and get infantry bonus.
    And the ghost drop pod will probually be able to be destroyed like the nydus worm, and in Starcraft I, they luanched nukes from random comand centers, so I have found something funny. What if you sent some SCVs to the enemies econo line, and your marines to an island of minerals.
    "What the? Why are my marines marines near my comand center... Wait a second..."
    SCV: AHhhhh1!!!!! *Dead*
    How much does the ghost do now? I heard they took away the +30 infantry bonus damage and made it twelve.
    Anyone got anything?

    I'm not sure if the bit about the shields is new...but i found it interesting! I never paid too much attention to toss shield stats in SC1 cause i rarely played as them haha...but good to know i guess...rest of the info seemed old-ish

    nice to see Q&A back after a break...nice find!

    I agree. Number 2 seems to be a direct response to BoP's Shield Omnidiscussion that I put in a report a couple months back. :D

    But they would never acknowledge that LOL.

    Lol. The question about the shield was kind of dumb, it was self explanitory and just took space from a question I wanted to hear.

    Good faq. (shield question as well)
    The strength of the auto turret makes me hope spawnboodling, or its ilk could come back new and improved.

    Are there any statistics on how strong the turret is? The nomad will definately be used more than the science vessel because of its excellent defence abilities.

    I also like the Shadow Ops (#4). Since it can have both a nuke and a drop pod at any given time, this can be used as a deadly combination. Imagine droping a nuke on your opponent, some of thier buildings are still standing but are badly damaged. Thes call the drop pod full of marines and 1-2 medics to finish the job.

    What about lifting off the structure, and then connecting it to an add on? Or would that be too time consuming? (didn't play a lot of terran)

    12 units in one drop pod seems a bit much. If the dropship can carry more now its not a problem but being able to transport that many units that quickly seems like it would be over powered. I think it should probably be only half of what is allowed in a dropship maybe the whole thing. (4-8 infantry)
