Starcraft II Cinamatics will Rock?

well, lets just how that this time, the image quality of the cinamatics have gone better, HD lol

 

If the zerg trailer, the one with Kerigan's voice, proves anything; it shows that the cinematics will be much better than in sc1.

 

Depends, I think Blizzard will do the major scenes if full CG. But the story telling before, after and in between will probably be done with in-game graphics.

I hope they don't totally abandon the CG though, it's a Blizzard trademark.

 

Of course they wont, they've had CG cinamaticss ever since WC2, right?

 

WC1 to be exact. At the end of the campaign, you could see fireworks at the castle of Azeroth and etc for the orcs. Although nothing much happened, it was pretty amazing back then.

 

following the same trend as always, the cinematics in sc2 will be amazing for their time

I hope we will get to see another Hydra vs Marine battle, The Battle aboard the Amergo still amazes me.

 

Blizzard is known for their cinematics, we have nothing to worry.

 

SC2's cinematics will be more-or-less like that WC3's: animated unit models for in-game and between-level stuff, and about three major cinematics per campaign.

 

Don't forget the epic intro when you first open up the game =)

 

I just hope that it will be easier to use then it was in the Warcraft 3 map editor. That cinematic tool was really difficult to use and make proper movies with. Let's just hope that Blizzard pays attention to this, maybe we can actually do some competitions with it this time is that is the case.

 

I'd be surprised if they only left me in awe, I expect something more grandeur than what we've seen ever before.

 

Blizzard has consistently produced high quality cinematics. IIRC they have written a bunch of their own tools to make them, just look at the fantastic SC2 reveal trailer for the results and that was just one marine.

 

i'm just worried about the zerg briefing scenes, no matter how good the graphics engine is they're not going to stop me B*tching about a cerebrate popping down to a pub

 

they will be sick, remember the cinematic opening when they showcased sc2 at blizzcon and made the official announcement?

 

It's Blizzard! They are second only to (maybe) Square-Enix in cinematics. Although, I prefer the StarCraft FMVs to Final Fantasy 7/8/9

 

i have no doubt in my mind about blizzards cinematics.

nah, all final fantasy cinematics are epic.
