More Haiku, in honor of the new video!

    Times are desperate.
It is the end of a day:
    We embrace Twilight.
    (Twilight Archon)

    A storm is brewing,
A Tempest blows in from sea.
    So long, Carrier.

    Large, you cannot hide.
    No battle-worm goes unseen.
    Welcome back, Reaver.

    Photon Cannon? No!
    Static defense? I think not!
    I go where I like!
    (Phase Cannon)

    Speed, strength in numbers.
    Ancient Protoss were hunters,
    Just as they are now.
    (Soul Hunter)

This one isn't about SC, but its funny.

    Haikus are easy
But sometimes they don't make sense
    Refrigerator

    and my own:

    We fell in years past
Our temple lost to zerg mass
    Of dragoons, the last

This one is really nice. It has real poetry feelings. In this haiku are the epic ones, I would say.
Besides, the rhymes make it sound better than 3 completely separated verses. Like someone said here, haikus aren't a phrase broken into 3 pieces of 5-7-5 syllables, but the lines can't be totally distinct, because the entire poem is one complete piece. Rhymes, in this case, are a good choice to link the verses "physically" (musically, in this case). Of course, the whole idea already links the 3 lines, but it's more elegant when these details appears.

    Good job wuffle.

I disagree, I actually try to avoid rhyme when I make haiku. I feel that the first to lines should be related, but not directly, with the third line bringing them together, completing the idea, or driving the point home.

    Soul hunters look wierd
    Hoverboards and soul-stealing
    Is un-Starcraft-ish

Thanks for the compliments. I don't really care wether it rhymes or not as long as it is good. I try different stuff. I liked my Immortal one however, because the last line did seem to complete it, but it still flowed nice.

    thats not a haiku....

but I would replace the last line with

"of the flying Zerg's mind, body, and soul"

Thank you, that sounds much better, now I'll make a haiku:
    *Ahem*

    After ten years since
    The original arose
    The sequel appears
    (Starcraft 2)

Some more haiku, relating to things we've learned since my last bundle.

    Golden minerals?
    Explains Protoss yellowness?
    Nope, just more money.

    The Stargate's fresh look:
Warning: bright flash and sparkle. (syllables fixed)
    Nothing else new, though.

    (Colossus details)
    Tripod? No, Quadpod.
    We'd never rip H.G. Wells,
    We totally swear.

    Ah, greetings command!
    Ah...the ship.... out of danger?
    Affirmative, sir.

    Zealots can now charge,
    So much for leg enhancements,
