oh and the budget is reportedly 100 million for WoW the movie

it will be set in the world of Warcraft but won't follow the story lines from the games supposedly

Ah, I hadn't heard anything about World of Warcraft. The news release I had seen only talked about Diablo. I like that it's going to be done by the guys who did 300. That pumps me up.

there seems to be alot of buzz about blizzards talking with movie companies, i doubt it would be any good, considering how bad game movies always turn out.

even if it sucks, it will raise awareness of starcraft, and could get more peopleto play it, but its prefferably good

 

I agree with Gui, mostly because I am a pessimist. But if anyone can do a movie from a video game right, it'll be Blizzard.

Maybe they will see how Diablo/WoW does and then go from there

Expect the worst, you can only be pleasantly surprised.

 

i always imagined that a Starcraft movie would look like the first ( and very unpopular) final fantasy movie where all the humans are trapped inside those shielded cities. The aliens in that movie seemed a lot like infested terrans and the soldiers also kind of looked like ghosts or marines.

 

starcraft movies...dude...it would rock so hard...
