I dont have bootcamp on my computer now... And even if I did I would never stoop to the level of windows and buy andy of their worthless chunks of plastic.

 

Let's not turn this into a computer manufacturer war.

For some reason Mac users feel more strongly than PCers do.

Mac = Good Art Programs/Reliable
PC = Compatible with more/Games/Cheaper

 

Don't forget that Macs are less susceptible to viruses than PCs. But they still turn me off somehow. I never really had any viruses anyway.

 

The viruses thing is largely a myth.

If you use a Mac the way some users use a PC, you'll still get a virus.

It has nothing to do with the OS.

 

Strange. Because I hear a lot of people complaining that Macs get way less viruses than PCs. And as for Linux capable... Lol, I know only one person that uses a Linux. I hope they don't make a Starcraft 2 for 360 or PS3. I know they said they won't, but who knows, things might change.

 

The reason no one uses Linux is because *SUPRISE* they don't code any mainstream programs for it. It all has to be adapted to run in Linux.

Also, Macs being less virusy (is that a word?) is just perception. It's a marketing ploy. Basically, statistically LESS Macs get viruses, but there are also LESS Macs.... So...

It's also in how the person using it operates. If you're downloading torrents all the time from illegitimate websites, you'll probably end up with all sorts of spyware, etc. If you're a Mac user that buys all legal software and never leaves this forum site. I doubt you'll end up with a virus at any point.

Bottom line: People whine about viruses when it's their own damn fault.

But I think it's pretty amazing that there's a pretty recent OS that will run on JUST YOUR RAM!

And I don't see SC2 switching to consoles. They didn't do so hot with the original on N64. Controls are too immobile.

Your graphics card and video card are decent.

What are the specs for your pentium 4? How many GhZ?

XP doesn't tell me much. Go to your My Computer icon, right click it, hit properties and then copy and paste what is there into your reply.

You didn't copy paste it all. Just the name of your processor.

 

I think your processor is the bottleneck in your system, like in mine, an AMD Sempron 2800+ which clocks at 1,9GHz. Though I also have only 1GB or RAM and a 7300GT with 128MB, so mine will have even more trouble with SC2 that yours.

 

well I can play games like world in conflict (the demo) on medium quality so i'm not that scared.

 

Your processor is your weak point.

You'll be able to play, though. But you're not gonna be knocking your socks off.

 

oh don't worry, as long as the game isint THAT laggy and still looks cool, i'll have fun, I meen a wile back a downloaded the supreme commander demo and when I put it on low quality I was like: HOLY CRAP these are stick people! I play every thing on medium quality if high will damage gameplay, never low.
