StarCraft 2 Beta Confirmed For This Summer!

In that article I linked to you can see the profit differences between Activision Blizzard and EA. EA lost 1 billion in about the same time frame that Activision Blizzard profited 1 billion. If you're going to compare Blizzard to EA at least let it be Activision Blizzard.

I'm not sure if Activision Blizzard is the biggest gaming company in the world but if they aren't then Vivendi, which owns that company, is.

You know that August is in the summer too? Since he just said summer that could mean any month in the summer.

 

Yes, but still. It is not sure, it can be delayed, but it is news finally. I hope they release at least one or two maps that we can play on, if they decide to make a close beta testing. I would be happy with only one too Something I could play at least.

 

I wouldn't be to sure about the possibility of the delay because they gave this information to stock holders specifically right? If that's right then they would loose stock if they weren't able to keep to their goals stated.

 

You got me there, but it was pretty clear that I mainly talked about the quantity of their games. At least I hope so.

Every developer trying to make some sort of central control panel sucks. Especially with developers that only have a small amount of titles. And we all know by now: Blizzard makes a game, the rest copies it. Also: since when did browsing the start menu become so hard? -although it really needs an alphabetical sorting function by default-

 

Most of what they are offering in their central control panel pretty much exists in battle.net already. The only thing I would like about this is the ability to install your game on another computer without having to go out and buy a new copy if you lost your cd. Other then that I don't see what they could offer that isn't already there. They just need to improve battle.net not give us a whole new one.

 

Totally I know. I bet you there will be some people who are very thorough.

At heart this is nothing more than another guess but, maybe, since they've had recent contact with Blizzard, they have some insider information. It's doubtful but I figured it deserved at least a minor posting.

I really feel we could be looking at a fall/winter release of SC2 of 09' because i remember red alert 3 coming out here ( i live in U.S. ) and when i got an e-mail of its beta....they werent greater than three months difference.

 

The StarCraft 2 beta will be a minimum of four months if history proves correct. That means a December '09 release is about all we can reasonably hope for.

 

So the beta is only for a limited time???

 

Uh ... yeah.

The game gotta be released after some time, right?
