StarCraft 2 Beta 2.0 is Live!

For the record, I had nothing to do with the oh so misleading title. Beta 2.0 is not at all live.

 

I dowloaded the beta off torent.... now do you guys think I'll be allowed in the beta withouth any further actions on my part?? (my beta is patched and everything!! Just waiting for the launch!)

Honestly though, how did you guys miss all of the beta opportunities? Are you just now interested in StarCraft 2?

 

so not to be another one of those annoying people who keeps asking the same question over and over but

all you need to do (possibly) is download the sc2 beta torrent, sign up for an account at blizzard.com and then when phase 2 is available you can just log in?

and noone has leaked when the beta will be going up? im with whoever said tonight

 

i have a beta key myself, im just wondering how it goes for my friends if they are wanting to get in

 

Well I'm a huge Starcraft fan. My buddies and I have been playing this game since it came out and have been waiting since they first announced SC2. I wasnt aware that there was a limited number of Beta codes till it was too late. I was literally one day to late to get a Beta code. I tried everyone, Gamestop, Amazon, Bestbuy, etc. So I've just had to wait it out. So trust me, I've been interest in SC2 since the day I beat BW in like 2000

I do have a Battle.net account by the way

 

Sorry for asking again, but I felt like I didnt get a good answer. Is this beta going to be public or only available to people with Keys.

I asked this 2 pages back and all I got was people telling me to get a torrent. Just looking for a yes or no, thanks in advance

So will they just link it to people's battlenet accounts, email them, or do I need to go out and find it you think? I know no one actually knows, but just wondering what people think blizzard will most like do.

 

Most likely, "SC2 Beta" will be added to your account as if you had a beta key.

 

i hope if comes up soon, i cancelled all my plans since 12pm pst, goes to show where my social life will be come july 27th

 

You guys, i'm not 100% sure if it's open or closed. I say we stop guessing and begging for keys until we do in fact find out.

 

Blizz said 100% it was open to the public when the Professional Edition was announced.

 

Does anyone know when the battle.net might finish its maintenance in the US?! I've downloaded all the patches at 3 and up but Battle.net is still offline...

I've seen trinkets of info on this site and others about how you could play on the european server if you did x, y, and z. Does anyone have that information readily available?

 

Good luck to you bro. i"m not messing with anything! I guess i will just wait, i don't wish to mess this up. I had to uninstall and reinstall and manual patch half of this now that its few hours away i'm happy.

 

hmm, well i backed up all my original sc folders, then reinstalled. Also I have my new install backedup. Sc2 is modular, so you can take it anywhere as long as the folders are in tact. not much to mess up. why does it take so long for everyone? Mine took 45 minutes to download from scratch

 

I said no to switching servers. That's feature to be added later in retail though.

 

Actually I was hoping to get a key when I preordered but they were already out of keys at EB games.... I was working outside of town for most of the spring so I as soon as I heard of the beta I went to EB games.... a little too late I guess! I do have to admit I neglected Starcraft post 2005 but I mean there was and still are other things in life than SC!!! I appreciate your answer though Dek!
