StarCraft 2 Beta 2.0 is Live!

We're receiving preliminary reports that the EU StarCraft 2 beta has resumed as of 8:00 a.m. EST this morning and that an update for US clients will be occurring sometime today which will allow your client to play online!



No patch notes have been released at this time! Beta's back!!

Then why did i need to opt-in the beta if they can just have a download page? its not as open as you think

also you can't play in the beta until tonight, the patches are finally catching up. The european servers have had this hours ago, about 8 this morning. Our servers are catching up meaning the game will go live tonight or tomorrow

 

Have anyone been able to log into their accounts yet? I just finnished downloading the patch (Sweden also got it).

Tryed to log in to play. But...."Battle.net is temporarily down for maintance"

 

yeah, they wont turn battlenet up until they are ready for it. Think of the amount of people that are going to flood the system the second it is turned on?

How do i get to download the patch? I really really want in

 

just load your beta up. if it starts downloading your region has it.

at the moment only europe have patch i think.

if it doesnt then it doesnt.

 

people in the US have started downloading the patch, but your not getting it.

I dont have the beta!!! I'm just someone who missed out on it and want in on it. I have nothing, except starcraft 1

man the beta is like 4 gig it took most of us an 8 hour download to get it the 450meg patch wont be any use to you just wait for it to go to public!

 

and im still going to have to download all of it. Don't tell me what to do. I asked if you knew a way, since you don't talk about the topic of the thread and not about me.

I know numbers, I know there are 19 patches, I know Europe had it at 8 am this morning, so dont talk

 

As soon as the Blizzard Updater finishes and StarCraft II Beta launches, I get this message (before I even attempt to login):

 

They've only put up the patching servers so people will patch before the actual beta is up, therefore there will be less stress on the servers.

 

im in the US and im done downloading just waiting for servers to come up

 

Okay so I reinstalled sc2 beta and updated now when I try to log on I get an invalid version message. Is this normal and will it go away once beta phase 2 has started?

 

Quick question, so they are openning the beta up to the public this time around, even if you don't have a Beta key?

 

we aren't getting in. They say it's open to the public but if you opt in for the beta it states not everyone is guaranteed..... so if its open how does that statement make sense? It doesnt

 

Just torrent the beta if you want it that badly. You'll download it faster that way anyways. Otherwise it could take hours getting it off of blizzards official server. Begging for beta keys wont get you anywhere here...

 

Ya, TSO i dont think you understand how it works.

You gotta have the Starcraft 2 Beta client to play at all, the patches are just updating it after that. You should listen to Mako and just get the torrent first, then download the latest patch after you open and install it.
