Well, re-installed the game, that's not the problem. I saw, tho, something interesting. My Blizzard store account is European, but when i installed with the CD, there was something about installing en-GB version... Not sure about if that's the problem, i'm re-trying to install with the internet download, i'm at 28 %, takes still a few hours... But it might be, that the CD we bought was american or something, and our B-net accounts are european. You never know, that might be the problem. I'm sure it will get fixed in time, tho.

I downloaded the game using the StarCraft_2_EU_en-GB.zip downloader. After buying the game on my EU bnet account, I installed it but I get the same problem everyone else does. It tells me that SC2 is not registered to my account but if I go to account management on battle.net the game is right there.

So annoying. All I want to do is play the single-player. I don't even need friggin bnet.

Man, Wolf, i know how you feel, i'd like to clear out the campaign first, then start playing b-net, but seriously, why do we need b-net connection to play the WHOLE game? Fail, fail, fail.
    Bad choise from the Blizzard.

Also, i stopped downloading the game once again, due to it being at only 41%, putting it on the DL again at night.

My preference is to not purchase digital/downloadable things. Data alone is too easy to go missing because it's immaterial. The disc on my shelf that I bought from the game shop is not going anywhere. A disc is proof.

Not helpful to you I know, but I have nothing helpful to say. I'm sorry for the problems you're having. :(

Yeah, it's cool that you atleast read the thread and tried something, rather than just sit tight and quiet.

Also, i bought my CD from the shop, and i have the receit. It's just that the account doesn't work, the game itself is propably fine.

You did make a b.net account on the right server? Like, going to the european/american/asian site?

I once tried to pay subscription to WoW, but spent three hours on the american WoW site before I figured it out.

Use the guest pass for now...

I had the not registered even though I registered problem...couldn't get it solved yesterday and I haven't tried it today BUT I did play for about 3 hours on the guest pass so if you need your fix use one of those!

Hopefully, it works itself out. I don't see how reinstalling the game would help since it worked when I had a guest pass but maybe that will solve it (I'm not going to wait around for a 7GB download if I can avoid it). If anybody knows the solution, PLEASE share it. Until then, I'm going to burn through these guest passes.

I posted a yahoo answers question about it...no answers yet but maybe eventually:

(Titiled Starcraft 2- says my game isn't registerd on blizzard? Please help!?)

I'm referencing this article to Blizzard support. I'll see if I can get an answer out of them but my contacts are all through the U.S. support office.

Yes it is, I am seeing Queued for my transaction. This was after putting in my card info and such obviously. I live in the US as well. So I usually play World of Warcraft and there are a few options to buy in-game things. And when they released some mount a few months ago, many people got a queued transaction for it and had to wait for it to work in-game. Simply put, I think the overwhelming traffic going through the site and Blizzard's oh so fail at everything techniques are making it a really slow process.

I could be all wrong. But yea i can't log on either...sucks.

Links to somewhere that solved this?

Maybe people can post their links to other sites where this question has been posed? Hopefully, somebody will figure this out.

I assume that the name we sign in with is the e-mail we signed up with i.e. jondoe@yahoo.com
Not jondoe@battle.net or something. I guess my guest account worked with the jondoe@yahoo.com so that should be the correct way.

Anyway, if anybody feels motivated...post some solution links or something..

I sent a message to the Blizzard via the "Contact us" or whatever it was, linked this page in it and some other things i said in it over 24 hours ago, no reply. We shall see what happens, this will propably be fixed inside the week, since the first few days are the most busiest days of all. We need to be patient for now...

SC2's success can be its downfall

It's a good thing for SC2 that may people are buying the game. It's also a disaster that many people can't play the game after they have bought and paid for the game. The failure is entirely Blizzard's fault because it forces every customer to rely on battlenet even for the single player mode.

It's a shame. Blizzard worked so hard to create goodwill among customers by designing landmark products. But abysmal product service and customer support is destroying this goodwill right in front of our eyes. Blizzard is quickly developing a new reputation that its highly acclaimed product in fact doesn't work for a lot of people, and that once the customers report the problem, Blizzard's customer support is non-existent.

For those frustrated customers who just bought a non-functioning SC2 product - will you purchase any SC2 sequel if Blizzard leaves you hanging for the next few days?

If the game is fixed during the time of a week, i still might buy sequels, but if they THEN let the same problem happen again... i'll have my doubts. Well, this is the first problem i've seen with Blizzard so far, my Warcraft has been fine, same for Diablo 2...

I'm off to sleep, and i'll continue my SC2 download during my sleeptime. Then, if it is thru, i will re-install the game with it to see if it works. Good night people. Seeya guys later. Hope you find what you need. Same for us, too... Hope Blizz will fix it as soon as possible, waiting is pretty much all we can do, since Blizz doesn't even try to help the people with problems usually.

You would think that after years of deferred launch date and months of public beta testing, SC2 would be a relatively reliable product. Unfortunately, Blizzard has dropped the ball this time in a spectacular fashion.

I will give it a week. If the product is still non-functioning, I will personally write to Blizzard, ask for my money back, and file a complaint with federal trade commission's consumer protection agency. You can google FTC's bureau of consumer protection.

For an internet based, substantially defective product that has no live customer support: that's enough ground for a complaint.

Well it looks like Blizzard had zero problems successfully charging me for the game but can't seem to process the order completely so I can play. My order has been stuck in the "queue" for about 24 hours now, even though it's listed in my account and marked as active.

Seriously, what a joke. I didn't mind yesterday and thought I'd give it a few hours to process, but this is a bit pathetic given all of their "preparation" with Battle.net 2.0.

I bought the game yesterday and haven't had any problems with it. And that's using a laptop that can barely play it on low settings.
