"Starcaft 2 requires a patch"?

Update i can connect to one of the servers putty provides but i still cant log in to battle.net...... do i need to add a different proxy in proxycap or the one in the videos?

Use the video guide for setting up Proxy Cap/Putty and WoW, but use StarCraft II.exe instead of WoW. And instead of setting ports for use, keep the default setting of "Unrestricted."

 

i followed the videos to the letter and i use the proxy details they give but when i load starctaft i still cant log into battle.net do i keep those settings or use my own?

 

when i use there details in proxycap in the session errors i get

connection refused (10061)

 

That is when setting ProxyCap to use the proxy "127.0.0.1:1080"?

 

yes and the only server i can connect to on wowtunnels is proxy1

 

Using this proxycap stuff does it mean that i'll have to start paying monthly for it if i want to play? or can i just use the free trial to get the game setup and then wont have to worry about using the proxycap stuff and just start up normally?

ok i can use this method to connect to world of warcraft but it doesnt work for starcraft so there must be something that needs changing in the settings maybe for it to work with SC2

 

Use your own. instead of entering the port numbers they do, leave it blank and keep the setting set to unrestricted.

 

When you mean leave port number blank do you mean leave the ports as unrestricted?

Iv done that and connected to the wowtunnel server ill try again at least i know it works for WoW so there must be a way to get it to work for SC2

 

Tried the DNS thing, still no love. Is anybody else still at the 'multiple problems saving data' stage?

 

Curious, have you tried Run as administrator?

A. You can download the StarCraft II patch data here, and place it into your StarCraft II game folder. Then when you run the patcher again, it will read that data and update.

Same as i posted above, download the manual patch and drop that into your folder, run the patcher again.

 

Well i cant get SC2 to work with the proxycap + putty but i have got wow working so at least i can play that untill i go to parents tomorrow and activate my client

 

LOL weirdness. Can you take a screen shot of how you have StarCraft II and WoW's EXE files configured? This may provide clues.

 

I download both of the files? Theres two.
