I have a spell checker at home so I don't need to use the forum software for that. When at school they don't have a spell checker addon for any of the browsers they have so I have to use the forum checker.

Well, I don't see why a British English option shouldn't be added to the spell checker so maybe it will be changed since this thread has brought the need for it into the light. That said, you can go ahead and use whatever dialect of English you like. I don't think anyone would have a right to complain. Your spelling and dialect is every bit as legitamate as the American one, if not more so.

I don't think very many people care which english dialect you use, but I am pretty sure this site is going to stay english only. (now whether you use american, british, or autrailian english is up to you)

I don't mind which dialect you use just as long as it's easy to understand, things like ax and axe, gray and grey.

    BTW what's a gaol?

Gaol is the Australian and U.K. spelling of jail.
