It's not marvel, they are skins for a ninja champion from LoL.

why does it apply to phi? Wouldn't phi be an incredibly short one?

Pi (not phi) has an infinite length, so, if you convert it to binary, you'd literally have the code for EVERYTHING.

I don't see the connection between displaying binary infinity and the code for everything...?

the principle of a billion monkeys at a typewriter.

infinite random crap forms an infinite amount of combinations. meaning that somewhere are all the secrets of the universe. And the collected works of shakespear.

But the article itself also mentions other numbers for which that doesn't make sense( e and phi) since they are finite. They were mentioned near the end of the article

    Sorta what drie said.

Lemme kinda show an example (Note, this is using an online binary translator, accuracy isn't guaranteed)

First three digits of pi are 3.14. If I plug that into a translator, I come up with:

    00110011 00101110 00110001 00110100

Running that back through the translator to standard ASCII, I get 3.14 (obviously). But if I translated that binary into Base64, I come up with "My4xNA==". An actual word comes up, as well as a commonly used short hand (NA - Not Applicable/Available) in just three digits of pi. Now, considering that we've computed pi to over a million digits, it's possible we already have, say, the lyrics to Let It Be, JFK's inauguration speech, and that love note you wrote to that girl in your seventh year math class.

So I am watching star trek voyager from the beginning.

At episode 2 now(cry every time kathryn janeway's actor says anything)

How can anyone make an episode revolve around the fact that black holes have a temporal reflective shell as event horizon? It's not even one of the common mistakes/simplifications! Where did they get the idea?

It wins every sort of epic battle.

I wonder how well a full fledged WAAAAAAGH would do against a few Hive Minds.

For the people that don't know, a Waaagh! is an ork warband. No, not an orc warband, an ork warband.
