How can he have an understanding if his thread just vanished without a word from anyone?

 

I was thinking about doing that but I didn't know who to PM, and then if I PM'd the wrong moderator they'd need to check/ask, and it's not that important really. I just think a "....... reason, deleted by ........" would be nice after every thread delete, sent to the thread starter or something. This has struck contraversy in the past and I thought it'd be rectified by now.

@ kuvasz. Me and another mod discussed it, and came to the conclusion that it wasn't appropriate and should be deleted.

Oh, and in response to Light, for your information the other mod wasn't LK. As I said, know what you're talking about before you make random accusations.

You can really PM any mod you'd like, and if they don't know about what happened, they'll figure it out and get back to you

If you have a problem with the actions of a mod, the best thing to do would be to PM another mod about it. Making accusations in public isn't really the most effective (or the most mature) means to air your grievances (which you have every right to do).
