I was thinking almost the same thing: that not just P & Z but all enemies should see s smaller thing, and only the player (or maybe all Terran players) can see how close it is to landing. What do ya think?

Yes, I think that is a good idea also.

Well, we were watching the Protoss's point of view on the battle, so it might be that big to anyones point of view!

    Not good...

Exactly, knowing how long till it hits is a bit of extra knowledge for at least non-Terran races. It's be cool if they made special crosshairs for each race, though.

That'd be nice if you could research something if you were Protoss or Zerg which could give you notification of a nuclear launch. With Terran, notifications are automatic, you don't have to research anything.

It would have to be cheap, yet late-tier (aka Hive/Fleet Beacon late) to be implemented. But it sounds cool as long as it doesn't make nuking too hard.

I think it's too early to discuss about this as it is just a demo of SC2 at pre-alpha stage... The terran and zerg are probably scripted as well as, perhaps...the protoss as well? It is scripted in the way that everyone can see how the nukes are being launched.. Actual gameplay wise, I think this will not be diverted too far from the original SC, enemy will still see the tiny red dot... It would be too imba if this is removed IMHO..

BTW, SC is at year 2400 something but still need someone to target the nuke? ::) Anyone think about this? Hmm.... the tech goes backward...

Did you listen to the attachment? That was the nuclear launch notification for the Terran.

^^^Maybe a targeting system didn't fit inside the Nuke model. (did you guys see how incredibly small it is?)

I learned how to extract all sound bytes from the Starcraft by running a program that did it for me. Want the address to the website?

For Starcraft 2, they'll probably do like in Warcraft 3 and include the sound files in the editor. I'd also like to mention how stoked I am to hear the unit's funny sound files. :p

OK, here's the link http://www.custom-creations.org/~starsite/Downloads.php. Scroll down to the miscellaneous section, and the first item is the "SC Sound Utility", download it, (make sure you have SC installed), and run the program it tells you to run in the question file. Make sure you have 80 Mb of space.

I used the extraction utility a long time ago, but I have since deleted the files. It is a pity that it doesn't extract the music though.
