I can't imagine having a sexual wallpaper, to be honest. Especially not a crappy cartoon one, which I'm sure is what jeffri has.

You lot have so few icons. My desktops are about 50% full of folders and shortcuts. I hardly ever use the start menu except for getting to control panel to uninstall stuff. i find it a lot easier this way, but it was built up slowly :)

Jasmine, you should try a docklet app, like RocketDock or Launchy. Sounds like it'd work wonders for you

Thanks for that Fenix, I will give those a try :)

I know many people think of it as clutter, but I really don't mind having lots of icons on my desktop. I have an easy hotkey for show desktop too.

So, and this is OMG, but I ditched the Emerge Desktop app I have. The newest version is kinda busted by fullscreen programs (like SC :( ), so I switched back to regular explorer. Good news is, I installed an app that gives Vista the Windows 7 Superbar, so it's grand. Keeping VirtualDimensions though.

I had to stop using emerge desktop because it was taking significantly longer for my computer to start up with it running, usually it only takes about 10 seconds or less for my computer to boot everything up and with emerge it took like 45 but when I un-installed it, it went back to the normal start up time.

I do however use rocketdock because I like to keep my stuff organized and streamlined and it is much more pleasing to look it and more efficient to have all my icons all in a launch bar at the top of my desktop instead of just having icons scattered everywhere on it.

Here is a screenshot from the PC version of the Elder Scrolls IV: Obilvion of my character that i took a year ago. Everything in the screenshoot down to the clothing, character model, and weapon etc are all mods made by fans of the game.

Yes, they do and the modding community of these games really impresses me because of how the good the quality they are as you can see. I mean these guys that are just sitting in their apartment on the computer in their free time making this stuff and uploading it to some community website for other players of the game.

I aplogize for the image size if it is a little large for some people but I can't really help that much since my computer runs on a 1680x1050 display so thats the small i make in game images without resizing.
