There should be an option to turn the blood and gibs into balloons and confetti like in Team Fortress 2.

I love the blood in Starcraft 2. It is more realistic. When a Terran infantry unit is cut in two by a zealot we must see the blood spurting from both parts of the body. When a zergling is burst by the Crucio tank we must see the blood spurting too.
For the Protoss, same thing, but with blue blood.

This game should be like Starship Troopers. Blizzard Enterainement took a lot of details from this film (the count of dead Zerg in the Terran cinematic in BW, when we also see Stukov being sent to space). Most of them ! This film was bloody so SC2 should be too. More than SC1. And in every sense.

@Necromas : this option could be operational in a cheat code : "it's showtime !"

I just watched Battle Report 2 again, watching the gore factor.

    Delicious and a must.

when the protoss' health reaches 0 hp, they dont die. their suit automatically warps them outta there. that is why whenever you kill a zealot, you see a flash.
sucks, huh? you cant make the protoss bleed

    Delicious Dragoon juice.

    Do the Immortals do this?

If not, I'm thoroughly disappointed in Blizzard.

And the Zealot death is so much cooler this time around.

And warping them out to make Dragoons of them is out of the question for now. Just let them lay the for my Zerglings to eat them, or finally think of something good to do with them. Right? :/

Actually hasn't that been retconned and the zealots now are transplanted into immortals?

I like the classic blue dragoon blood and blue flame flashes. Also blue blood (as in actual blood from a protoss) would be so univentive.

If that really has been changed, then the whole Immortal lore would get messed up. The Protoss made Immortals from all surviving Dragoons, so they are all occupied. As far as I know, there is no place for wounded Zealots to go at the moment. -besides a hospital of some sort- Putting a Dark Templar in a Stalker would be possible, though.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting, but it seems like they changed that for simplicity.

    Hmm, strange retcon.
I thought that the whole point of the Immortal is that they are impossible to replace. Anyway: thanks for quoting that, although I hope they change it back in the final version. :/

yeah, most things warp out, i never paid much attention to how units die other than the splat of a ling, or the blue goo seeping from the dragoons. I should play again just to see how things break.

normally when a zealot loses a fight, (I say lose in the meaning that they don't die) he disappears in a blue flash to be teleported somewhere (maybe to Aiur) to take the place of a Dragoon.
When the warrior disappears normally its armor should fall on the ground of the battlefield and disappear within a time.

True ? So Blizzard should create this death animation for the Protoss zealot.
And there is no blue blood from this unit.

The blue plasma from the Dragoon is, I think, the matter inside which the Protoss warrior was put in.

some protoss units don't really have a realistic death, for example a zealot should fall on the ground possibly instead of the normal explosion type animation.

And that's what you get for not knowing lore :p Zealots are teleported just before they're killed. The crippled zealots are what control immortals.

I think having their ranks replenished with fallen zealots is fitting for the unit going by their name. Kind of like the Persian Immortals, who were named such because they would immediately replenish their numbers by replacing the wounded and dead.
