I like the gore settings but the setting should not have a "kid friendly" setting that have absolutely no gore at all. It is a war and blood should be present to matter what, so if they would enable this, any setting should still have blood and gore even if it has the most minimized gore feature.

@Josh I agree with that mentality, the concept of making war appear harmless and without consequences disturbs me. I understand it is a game, but as a larger issue, teaching that violence is okay when no one is hurt, is not logical.

The only reason for a Gore Disable option should be for graphics reasons. Starcraft isn't suppose to be a game for really young kids. It is like a 10 and up game and not nearly as violent as games like Halo are, and basically anyone with an Xbox has Halo. First or Third Person Shooters are always going to be more violent than Real Time Strategy games because in an RTS game you are playing a chess match against an opponent, but in a FPS game you are just trying to kill the other person. There are just different degrees of violence in the 2 types of games and I don't think that a RTS game will ever be able to compare in violence to a FPS.

yeah if you want a game with no gore go get barney vs teletubies, and leave viva piñata for the grown ups lol, as i stated before, its stupid to play a game of war and expect not to see blood, thats what makes children stupid, to ignore the consecuences of their acts, and yes i understand that it could give the game a better range of players but, hell, i dont whant halo kids playing on battle net and ruining my and my friends fun so i still say GO BLOOOOOD!

Well, if I would make a game barney vs. teletubbies then I'll make it as bloody as possible. I always love to see those stupid mascots die in a bloody manner. ;D

I don't really see why someone can be negative towards the fact that there will be an option for go ore/blood settings?

I think it is a good idea, because everyone can choose how the game will look like....

And if it lovers the age limit for SC2 it is fantastic... I remember that i could not buy SC1 when i was little because there was a 15year limit on the game in Norway at that time (i was 11) . Lucky for me my Uncle bought it for me!

Maybe Blizzard will have to totally remove go ore to lover the age limit. Then they can just make a downloadable patch on the internet for those who are old enough. A HYPER Go ore edition :D The one i will probably be using 8)

If the go ore/blood settings will have an impact on the computer performance then there is a even greater use for the go ore/blood settings.

    it is lower, not lover
and the problem with a lower minimal setting is that the players will become worse

I'm glad this feature is added, for I do not know how well my comp will run this so lowering the settings could help the smoothness of the game for me.

One question to nervous parents, if you allow your children to handle the violent killings of war that are in SC2, why does the effects of minuet gore bother you when they are already playing a violent game?

    It's a mystery.

I understand, some people need to learn that others have feelings too, even if they aren't human. I personally hate people that think its okay to hurt and kill others because their life suxs.
