Title changed to more accurately reflect reality.

    What?

So SC2 isn't banned in China?
    Only the exhibition match?

This is from the TL article, linked on the head of the thread. Emphasis mine.

It goes on to quote some semi-recent laws regulating foreign, violent games being shown publicly- this may still hinder e sports, as it would make it impossible to have public matches.

Let them pour into Tienamin Square once more.

Foreign powers will not sway the government of China cuz we will buy thier **** regardless (cheap Chinese goods promote our economies). The citizens of China that make these goods are the only people that are capable of making democratic change.

Blizz games mean absolute **** compared to human rights. It's sad that people say "omfg they can't playz sc2z??!11!!??!". There are greater issues at hand.

What happened between US and China?? I thought that they were having good relationship these recent months... It's quite sad for the chinese fans knowing that they were expecting as much as we do. Anyway, did they totally ban the game in china or is it just the event that they banned?

Im telling you if I was Chinese I could handle some reduced civil liberties...

But daring to suggest they'd ban the most awaited release in gaming history?

Way to alienate young people... the've really screwed up this time!

They ban it because the campaign features an anti establishment, anti corrupt government plot.

Again, guys, until we get an announcement that the actual game has been banned, let's talk about it being banned from the specific event it was actually banned from.
