Lol, rushes can fail ultimately... I remember one time I played kuvasz, I zerg rushed him very quickly he was only able to produce like 7-8 Probes, but I took my attention off for one second and he had his Probes attacking each single Zergling at the same time which killed em

Workers are very capable of repelling early, light rushes. The problem is, the rush still succeeds because you lose workers and mining time.

When I'm at my best, I'm a harassment monster. Sometimes, I just get into this zone, and I'm excellent at wrecking workers, expos, etc.

But that mode is hard to come by... :-\

Even though I play zerg a lot, I can never get my rushes to be very effective. I can't seem to get enough lings quickly enough to do effective damage , but that may be because I play larger maps. I tend to build a few sunkerns and tech up to lurkers and defilers.

i usually build a fairly solid defence that wont likely be destroyed in a single attack. then i mass units (different ways for each different race) and expand so i can hopefully control the majority of the resources. once i have the map under control i constantly attack my enemies not allowing them any time for a couter attack or to rebuild their defences. eventually they will die. i will probably lose mor units and they might even end up with a higher overall score, but i will be the last man standing, and that is all that matters to me.

I am going to harras the shit out of people and take over their bases. With terrans I'll take 6 vikings and 12 reapers. Land the vikings and use them for shields while the reapers plant explosives on all anti air. Then I use dropships and land 3 ghosts(full charged.) and 10 marines with 3 medics. Then I use the 3 ghosts to use drop pods. GG.

Given what i've seen of the new units/abilities, i think the choice is clear. I'll train 10-20 ghosts, stealth to the enemy base, and D-Day my way in with drop pod marines. Think Starship troopers, with more blood.

But while you are teching ghosts and pods, plus the time to charge your energy, imagine what your enemy would be doing.

I play protoss and love to tech, so I would have at least 12 zealots, a stalker or 2, and phase cannons. I could possibly have a colossus by the time you start your attack. My colossus equals game over marines.

"How are you going to play starcraft 2?" That is wrong question. If u wish to win a tournament then never get locked to any stratergies. New race, new strat. New enemie new Strat. New map New strat. So if I meet a turtle player, then I go mass expasions fast. Resourcers always wins against turtels. if I play against rusher, then normal playing defeats him, where u can expand in normal rate, defend in normal rate. If everything goes well u know if u survive the rush u will win. Because u have better units now in the end. see what I mean?

Harass them to attack me then take out the big guns and wipe them to oblivion. This is definitely made easier with the reapers and Thor piss them off them take'em down! :p

That is why there is fog of war, to make it hard to have instant knowledge of your opponent

I think that it would be to hard to try and strategize right now, the process of getting a group of units that you have never manuevered before in battle just seems like its ruining the fun of practice and expereience. It is a lot learning what to do when you are in a situation and I am sure the ghost drop-pod thing won't work agianst someone who knows what they are doing. If you had like 10-20 ghosts wouldn't you have to have like 10-20 starports to trrain your dropships in before you harrass, by that time the protoss would have the mothership and than what marines... Blaze the ground and they are toast. Best bet if you are terran is to use the early rush with marines and medics and build bunkers, but I am sure you have thought of that.

Since scouting has always been my weakpoint, I prefer teching and slow expanding. I also tend to fortify m expansions with a strong static base defence, partly because I usually turn my expansions into the front during battles.

As for strategies, however the game turns out, I know that colossi will play apart in my army. It's just hard to form a strategy because I want to try out all the units and upgrades the protoss has to offer.

whatr race do you usaually use, let me gess, protoss, i used to protect my base with 5 buttloads of defence towerrs, but a smart terran player will put their siege tanks in the perfect position to wipe them off.

Protoss is my favorite race, yes. I also like the zerg as well, but I hate playing terran.

As for the tanks, I'll usually have speed zealots to fight them off.

It will be funny to watch people get carried away massing Crucios only to forget the enemy has Mutalisks or something.
