I say we all post our matches from these games or atleast the good ones to get critiqued here by the forum viewers.

we need a webpage or something, maybe get a subforum in the Private Clan Boards section of this forum?

also, chat rooms would help this sooo much

BioEn, you should ask the forum mods and such if they wouldn't mind putting a seperate section for Road to Diamond people. Would be cool.

Would a social group do? That's easy to create and also has that "belonging together" feeling to it. I didn't create it just yet because I wasn't sure how it'd affect this project. Namely, the group would only bring forumers together, and as I see it this is a cross-community initiative. IMO a separate section or group here would only distance participants, so people interested in this should refer to that face book page instead.

But if there's demand for it and Bio doesn't mind then we could create a social group for our own project. Personally I don't want to visit multiple sites for my SC2 needs so for me it'd be good to establish our own scheme, here.

This idea isn't only a sc2f thing, guys. It's across multiple boards. The most organized part I have seen is the facebook group, which already has the list of community members he mentioned earlier. All of the games I have played with this have been organized through the facebook group.

Have mixed unit compositions, where one unit complements another. For example, stalkers complement colusi, zerglings complement hydras, marines compliment tanks and thors.

Have some form of two (or multiple fronts planned, requires higher APM and minimap attention) front attack planned, it doesn't even need to be big.
e.g., terrain, 2 banshees poking at their back while having a main mmm army pressuring their front.

e.g. Zerg, variable number of zerglings in front with mutas harashing the mineral lines

e.g. protoss, 2-3 void rays attacking tech buildings, while stalker zealots pressure the front.

At worst you will split their army up and make them attempt to defend 2+ areas at the same time, at best you will make them send all their units to one front allowing you to pick apart the front they chose not to defend. when they attempt to defend one part, back off with that group, use air units to do the most picking with.

    never had idle workers.

early game it is well worth it to have 1-2 workers as scouts, constantly checking on their actions.

chose an early game strategy where you can predict their counters and build that counter first.

E.g. fast void rays into zealots/imortals (works best vs other protoss)

e.g. fast mass zerglings into mutas (Works best vs other zerg)
E.g. Fast roaches into speed lings.

e.g. fast reaper harashment into maruders marines.

Continue to upgrade your unit at around the 10-15 minute mark, upgrading too early will cause you to lack units to defend properly.

Use first scouting probe to attack enemies workers and structures.

Always attack the T worker building the first supply depot or barracks, you can usually kill it if not paying attention.

At worst you cause them to pull workers off costing them minerals and you can just use rally points to run around thier base.

Always send 1-2 early attack units (Zealots, marines or lings) to the natural expo, youd be surprised how long you can delay a fast expo build.

As protoss vs zerg, it is always a good idea to get some amount of pheonixs out, even if they do not make mutas, you can still use pheonixs to scout, kill overlords and overseers, and ninja kill queens by lifting them up.

Phoenixs are by far the most annoying unit zerg will ever see.

Hi there BioEn! I think the both of us share similar interests. As shown here in my thread I'm also making something akin to yours - http://www.starcraft2forum.org/forums/showthread.php?t=23444

You may put these names down in your thread :)

List of SEA players : -

    rifT_Theory - Serotonin (450) - Platinum
    ghostie192 - Ghostie (107) - Not Yet Ranked
    AcE_01 - ACecakes (???) - ?
    Marinefreak - Millionmonky (???) - Diamond
    itzahexgore - ? - ?

    ***

I will try to direct more traffic to your thread as I myself find it more comprehensive than mine. I hope the SEA player's section list will grow in numbers with our involvement  Also, I would very much like to represent the SEA servers - to promote StarCraft 2 and organize matches within ourselves.

Calling all Road to Diamond NA Players!!
I know this has been very long overdue, however I feel as if it was worth it for our lower league participants(myself included) to get some analysis/input through our practice groups. For tonight(9pm GMT, 8pm PT, 11 EST) I will host the King of the Hill event to see how everyone has improved in the last week. This weekend will also conclude with my first announcement of Most Improved Player of the Week(NA Server). For those new members that still has not had the chance to participate in our practice groups earlier this week, do drop by and get your name out there! If you wish to participate please leave your account.code in the comments below. Thx and GGyo~!

I'll be away this week and only able to log from a laptop where play is not ideal, so I'll only play against ai or some custom maps for the following week, but after 1 week I'll be up for some training with the rest of you... I've gone up like 50 ranks in my league the past week and waiting for a swift promotion to silver as I'm currently matched with top silver/bottom gold players which makes me quite happy, lol... Gonna add the EU players to my friends list and try to get some practice, especially during morning hours where I can play having the laptop on a table and not sitting on the bed, lol

Cheers and grats Serotonin on your promotion, bro :)
