You've got to remember, though, that they were "for sure" the beta would make 2009. Obviously, it didn't

It's fairly important in terms of beta news. At least, in terms of what we've been given recently.

 

Why would blizzard allow the public to listen in online on their "conference call to announce their fiscal figures". That kind of talk would seem rather boring to the average person. I think there's more to it than Blizzard is letting on.

 

Last time they had a conference call, the beta was delayed. But, again, that wasn't public. This one is and they're somewhat hyping it as if it were something other than boring fiscal figures and it goes very well in-line with what the SCLegacy mods have been saying ("Beta by the end of February") so I'd say it's safe to start getting excited. They probably want to announce the beta during this conference call because that'll make their stock go up quite nicely

 

I really don't like spreading news that I can't guarantee its accuracy. But since this Beta thing is driving us crazy I am going to spell out all the information I have. My friend knows someone who works or who is related to someone with high authority in Blizzard HQ (or both ) so you can imagine the kind of chain of communication here. But he swears to me that the beta will be announced OR is going to begin on February 12th even if Bnet 2.0 and/or SC2 are not completely ready (Blizzard standards, too perfectionist).

I would announce this in my blog and if it is true I'd get really good publicity but I am not really sure about that myself and I don't want to be an inaccurate source of info. But if this brings hope to the community then let's hope it's correct. The problem is, even if it IS correct things might go wrong just before the 12th of February that it is not possible to be on schedule.

 

Nice info but still hear say until official conformation from Blizzard.

 

In my world nothing will be the same after the 10nth of February... I am just counting days like when I was in the army..!
