Release Speculations 2011?

I want to play Starcraft2 ASAP!! ;p

 

Hmm...I hope that Blizzard will release SC II "when it's redy" - because i would like to be sure that SC II will be good game , without bugs but i also hope that it will be soon (maby even this year) !

 

i wouldn't be surprised at an early 2011 release. late 2010 is what i'm expecting. beta hasn't even been announced yet- hopefully this quarter, though. i'm guessing beta will end in the summer, another month or two at least after it closes for final bug fixes, then released in the fall. at the earliest.

i'm also predicting that Gamestop will announce SC2 preorders as soon as the beta is announced, with an "expected" release date of sometime in the summer, which will be "corrected" to late summer, "corrected" again to fall...

I have some news but the source is not 100% accurate. My friend told me that Beta will start this February (mid February). This info is from an insider according to him. Can anyone confirm/deny this??????

 

Yes Blizzard staff can. When they feel like doing so.

 

Is this friend of yours a staff member at a fansite or in constant contact with Blizzard? If not, the answer should be obvious.

If he's simply quoting something he's heard before then, well, that's even worse, because such a "leak" is found at least once a week. Just check Battle.net forum topic titles

I read that the beta is already out. just the beta testers have been warned by Blizzard to start the release. there will be an official alert from Blizzard soon.
But if what I read is true, some beta testers would already have spammed eveywhere that they got the beta keys.

 

@SOGEKING: They could mean the friends and family beta which has been going on for who knows how long.

Blizzard just announced a panel at GDC 2010 so maybe, though unlikely, that's a hint to when the game will go into beta. GDC is from March 9-13 and that seems about when I'd think they'd go into beta. Then again, it could just be a developer-to-develioper panel with nothing of interest to us
