    Posted by about 3 people that'd be 3 PMs. Not unreasonable at all. Rarely do more people enter a debate, but even if they do, you never get more than 6 people. And I'm not counting the ability to send the same PM to several people.

    I reckon that a reason is a must. But I've seen weird **** happen here so whatev.

    well.... i remembered when mods used to edit the "bad post", remove everything and write down the reason like

    post deleted because of inappropriate words, etc....

    That was because SMF didn't have a "reason for edit" feature. That was the silly way to do it, this is the proper way.

    They still do that. I do that all the time in my board. Or just in my own threads.

    Though it is more often green now days.

    If we edit a part of it, we leave a reason in the "Last Edited by:" bit. For deletion, the fact that it was deleted is enough. You know what you posted, and, if you read the rules, you know what was wrong with it.

    And if you have questions you ask a mod, if they can't tell you why it was deleted they can tell you who to ask.
