The mines are time right? As in once you use them there is a time limit to when you can use it again.
I think it would stop them from climbing/jumping up, but wouldn't the collosus just blow up the building with it's lasers and walk up?
it would only really work with turrets or sensor domes, supply depots take up 6 squares, leaving dozens of holes (like a bad game of tetris)
In the videos they always used a lot of mines to take out buildings. How much damage does one single mine do?
@nikzad, starcraft2.com shows the reapers using their mines. go to the reapers then look at the box on the right, it shows them in action!
i say we make the reaper more like cowboys and give 'em two giant silver revolvers. and their shell is like depleted uranium or something
Funny lol. The mines are prety powerful. In the demo for terran, the guy wasted a bunch of mines. He shoulda thrown it at the comand center before it became a planetary fortress. The mines are prety strong.
I thought this was a pretty obvious thing to do. First thing I thought of when they were shown jumping up cliffs 4 squares not anymore
I'm all for the Reapers as a unit in tier 2 for terran, I just think it needs to be an upgrade unit. Like HT to Archon. Make the Reaper an upgrade for the Firebat to keep them relevant.
marines with jet pack is a bit too much, as they are all purpose units and effective against pretty much every thing except capital ships
Aww.. Maybe not ghosts.. They are supposed to be stealth not manuverability. Just medics and fire bats?
It depends on how close the building is to the edge. If its right there, it would leave no room for the reapers to land and then launch again. One question I have is this: when the reapers are jumping up, are they able to be hit by ATA defense, i.e. Missle Turrets. I mean they are up in the air. I know Phase Cannons and Bunkers would work, but what about MT's? ~~dp02
I could see blocking them, but if you know that one of those units is coming, I'm assuming that Blizzard will have some sort of system in place that if your forces are ready and waiting for them to climb, it would be relatively easy to kill and/or stop their ascent. I.E. they can't shoot until they're solidly on the ground and it takes a while for the Colossus to climb. I'd be more worried about just killing the little devils than stopping them.
It might block them, but reapers could just blow the crap out of anything thats blocking their way with their bombs. Of course this will give you an early warning of the reaper attack. EDIT: Darn, paragon beat me to it
