    video card is the most important factor in running games followed by cpu if you hve a bad video card your cpu/ram wont matter

    Another factor for me is motherboad. The motherboad dictates your CPU. AMD or Intel. Some motherboad are for Nvidia SLI and others are for Radeon Crossfire. It dictates memory, two channel or four channel. The motherboad is the foundation of everything. So that is where you start first.
