Re: Site was hacked

Guessings will never show the truth. No matter who did it, but this showed main problem - one admin for such big site is not enough(I'm not talking about global mods). sc2forums could learn from this and choose from global mods or whatever second admin, what usually happens in '.org' sites.

 

I suggested that to him right after he restored the site but he said we don't need another admin and that this was a special case which won't happen again. Personally, I'd feel safer with 2 admins because a) if one account is hacked, the site can be saved under the other and b) we'd have an admin around during sc2's 3 week of vacation.

But if he says we don't need more then I trust him... I guess.

what?? Was ProtossCommander banned? He who was such a nice fella... Why was i banned in the first place and how did he respond?

 

He flooded sc2's inbox with PMs (46 I think) for which he got a 3 day ban. He couldn't wait to get back here so he somehow managed to post with his banned account which got banned again but this time for good. He then created an account called Zergcaptain or something like that and continued to spam sc's inbox with links to his "new videos" and kept calling him mr.head (LOL) so that account got banned as well and... we haven't heard from him since.
This is what I know of, there might be more to it.

Thank you kuvasz for bringing me up to speed about that. He spammed my inbox a bit as well but nothing that bad. owerup: because I f***king feel like it

Hey nik is back. How yous been?

Yeah PC was kind of annoying. He asked me a stupid question or made a stupid request (buy the probe for 500?) Every single day.

As for a second admin that would be nice because with one person and the sheer volume of requests it takes him at least a week to do something.

hmm, i thought protoss commander was not bad... i guess he turned dark or something... mayb his account was hacked. but then to create another account just for the same reason? meh i guess i was on drugs or something... and i think two admins would be nice, but so far our one admin has been doing a great job, so if he thinks we dont need one then i guess we really dont need another one. by the way, Good Job "mr. head". umm and i was jk about that, Good Job though!

reminds me on ijffdrie's current mental state. Who else on here posts to themselves as a different person. He even does it in chat.

One thing in common: both are annoying. I mean sure, I don't mind larking but when he comes in chat in the middle of a good conversation and starts flooding it I just wish he'd get a 1 day ban or something.

 

I could do that, but it'd be copying ijiff so I gave up :]

 

I talk to myself in RL a lot....It helps me put my various ideas in order.
