There's some bug with editing signature, if there's more text than the box shows, it won't stay on far right/bottom. Just so you know*

Oh man I cant even acsess the forums straight always takes me to the home page of the forums, need to click on a topic then back to forums, dodgy I like the old style better.

 

Not anymore, I can't get to forums homepage now

It will be missed.

 

After pressing ctrl+f5 I was amazed at the overhaul, the changes are very promising, especially the colour scheme... it's now colder and spacier ;D
I'd like to note that the left side with the users lights up if you move the mouse over just one item (I don't think it's meant to be like that) and that the mouse-over texts aren't as smooth. Maybe the mouse-over shouldn't follow the cursor?

 

I guess I could grow to like the new layout, but it should at least have that user panel and other menus at the top of the page like it used to. You know, where it has Home, Forum, Members, Search, Arcade, etc, and just below it where it has View Unread Replies and Posts Since My Last Visit. They should still be at the top so that it gives all the posts in the threads more room.

 

When I move the cursor over 'View Items' or 'Send Minerals', 'Posts' and the power level arrows light up. Also, if you're moving the cursor along them, the animated avatar stops which I don't remember seeing before, only when I scrolled the page (which now seems to work). And the mouse-overs just stutter as if it was eating away my CPU resources

 

Isn't it just as easy to have it at the top of the page? Otherwise you're constantly having to show and hide the sidebar every time you want to see replies or messages. Recent topics and polls could still be down the side and hidden because you only really look at that once each time you come on. I'm probably just getting pedantic. I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually.

 

I think it looks neater on the side.

btw, Sc2, could you please make the sig space in the profile bigger? It is so annoying to scroll back and forth.

 

I know that the site's layout is still under construction, but I feel that the user bar (and the other blocks) at the right should be transferred to the left side. Also will the forum's original portal page be removed and replaced with the one on the current front-end? It is kind of weird having to see two portals.

P.S. Great job so far! It's just how I wanted the design to be (three-column for the win!) and much more.

Along the top is more convenient, you just scroll up and you're there. Now it's hidden just below the top right-hand corner. Is there a possibility of having the option to use the old layout for conformists like me?

 

It seems whenever there's a mouse-over (buttons, pets, collectibles) all the links on the page 'light up'. It might mean something to you... Maybe that's the reason the text is choppy.

btw, collectible display gets messed up if you make the sidebar visible.

 

Ya.... I'm still alive just been on a bit of a vacation. And now with this site turning the mind blowing look... well.... I think I just wet myself.... Time to relearn the interface! 8)

 

All I can say is great job. On previous forums I've been to the new layouts were really bad, but this layout design is just right I love it :]

 

The space where we put our singnatures... it's only 5 lines high and... well, too narrow. I always need to scroll back and forth and sometimes it's just annoying ;D Especially when there's a link or picture in it, which are quite common.

ps does anyone else think that the current portal icon is... well, not really appropriate? I have 2 suggestions:
