I thought I mistyped the site address.

Then I shit myself when I realized it's our beloved forum. Voted 4/5 because it's new and a tad confusing to me. I'll get over it soon.

 

Most of us have had that reastion. I also thought I mistyped it when I first saw the new homepage.

Nice to see that there is someone else besides me who likes Age of Empires: DS.

 

The homepage and gallery are awesome but the actual forum section is too rigid with the new sidebar makes formatting bad since if you format for the sidebar to be open makes it look bad when the sidebar is closed and vice versa. Also the lack of space and the fact that half of my monitor is unused eats at me and is considered bad site design.

Also I still wish we had HTML allowed in posts since it is a whole lot more effective at formatting posts. When werip an item of Starcraft 2.com the way the pictures fit in makes BBCode formatting a nightmare due to lack of functionality.


Yes I know HTML can be abused but we have very good moderators who would clean it up quickly and I don't think we have enough asshats for it to be much of a problem

 

Well now that i am back, got to say i am very pleased with these improvements! very sleek and shiny, almost like windows vista. except it doesnt make my computer all laggy =P

 

Truthfully I liked the look of the other one a little bit better. You have made some things more convenient though so I guess it evens out! Nice job

 

Wow the site is awesome, took some getting used to, and it was a bit confusing at first. SC2 sure knocked himself out on this. Cheers to SC2, GREAT new look!!!

 

So yeah when exactly did Netflix''s latest deals become news?

would it be possible to make a seperate section for sidebar advertisements so the news tickers still get exposure.  Not everyone refreshes the page 20 times a miunute and because of this they could miss important news (along with this I thing more news items would be in order like say the topics of the las 5 news posts being inserted as news tickers.)

Also I am sure if the ads had a separate spot you would get more money because theads would have more exposure.

Also something else that might need to be brought to your attention is the fact that the ad is now gone and replaced with an ugly "can't load this picture" X

 

ok, I just got comcast ad and I think it's way too big for the news ticker, it makes sidebar longer than main forums page and imo that's too much.

 

Of course its too big for the ticker.

I can't edit it onto the main page or into its own slot for now, so we'll just have to live with it for a bit .

 

I'm still getting one of the ads not coming up. It just shows an x.

Might have been mentioned before, I just noticed this and thought I'd give some feedback: The search function on the portal page brings up different (and much fewer) results than the one in the forums.

 

I think the search box in the portal only looks at the articles and news in the portal.

Speaking of the portal the portal functions on the profile is not working. It says I haven't uploaded any articles and the settings doesn't even come up. Also a place to draft articles woule be nice, it isnt always possible to write something in one sitting due to having other stuff to do

 

Dear admin, I think I faced a problem.. As long as I know a guest is able to view topics, and profiles of members.
So I linked in my profile to one of my friends who isn't registered here, but it shown her the message "the member you are trying to view does not exist, and after that she couldn't even go to the forum index, or see any topics. Is that because i was logged in when copied the link from the browser?

 

It's because you tried to show her a page that you were logged in to.

I think I'll spoil your joy of observing your great creation by suggesting to have the forum time displayed somewhere. I don't think it'd be too hard to do but right now, it is too hard to always click my profile then the look and layout preferences button to see it <_<

"Who's Power Levels have I changed?" should be "Whose Power Levels have I changed?". Also, the site alternates between British (more like Australian, I guess) and American English. It's high time you made a choice, sc2 ;D

Me being new and trying to find good forums to actually join, I have to say these are the best I found! Really clean layout but still really techy/starcraft like.I really like the control panel and look overall on things.
