I find it a bit silly to have so few stock of an item... I mean its price should be enough to make it a rare pet among forumers.

Agree, maybe not as much as some low tier units but there should be more of them

Agreed, only 10 MS? That's way too few of a single item that has a pretty high demand among those who can't affored it yet, but are saving up for it. At my rate, unless I win big at the Hunt, it will take me a few month to get 11K

Most of the people who own them have won contest to get a lot of minerals in a short time. I would have had one by now if I didn't buy the colossus, phoenix, phase prism, and and stalker: totaling 12,354 minerals.

Let me guess, you bought them instead of the MS for 2 reasons: 1. they look cool 2. you have a better chance of an item bonus 3. tough luck, there is no item bonus ;D

Better calculate the time this thing starts in my zone I will refuse to go anywhere on Saturday... in fact I'll just lock myself in with a potty and some tissues ;D

I personally, like the idea of having a very small number of Motherships because it along with the theme of the unit (you generally will only get a small number of Motherships in sc2 unless they make it unique again then you will only have 1 at a time). Also I see the small as a good thing, becuase it helps make the Unit unique for the people who actually saved up the money to get one instead of going after other things first. Think for a second if everyone that wanted one had, would it be that unique of a unit? Look at the the Kerrigan doll for example its not coveted because its Kerrigan its covetd because there is only 3 ot them.

 

I bought the cheaper units because I though it would be a good idea to buy them now instead of later since more people could afford them(saved me from the probe/zealot trade crap). But I wasn't expecting the MS to see selling as fast as they have been. I'm not planning to buy anything else until I can afford the MS (if there are any left by then...).

 

You mean being the most expensive pet (and by a large margin) doesn't make it unique enough?

I just have the feeling that I'll take the 2540th place (just like last time) which will not allow me to buy the MS. And I'm quite certain they'll disappear after the hunt. I'm not whining though, I would still have 2 more to collect. Besides, if 2nd edition pets get a different frame then it would make my MS all the more distinct from my other pets

 

Anyways I just found out about this mineral hunt! wooo! It's at noon too yay. Damn finals were postponed until Saturday night cause of the storm and it might be canceled further cause of the nor'easter.

 

btw... kuvasz nevermind lol. i dont have enough minerals haha. i only got 300... will that cover it? man what does an underage kid have to do for a beer? haha lol jk

I've been saving up for it fo like a month, do I get one? Doesn't seem so

I would go as far as saying killer, but that inst the issue. First im not the only person to own more than 1 Mothership. Second I havnt contradicted myself, my first point was to point out that having a small number of them available to the public increase their value and uniqueness (I think there is only 15 thors its the same way), my second point was to point out that the thme of the unit itself encourages having only a small number of them.

Finally will notice im not the only to buy one today, I just chose to do so because if I ever wanted more this would be my chance because after the mineral hunt it would almost be guranteed all 3-4 (there was before I bought mine) would be gone by anyone who wanted one and also placed well in the hunt.

Finally for the record there is still (as of the last time I checked) one left so they are not all gone and this kind of situation is no different then people buying mutiples of the statues that now currently out of stock.

 

No you aren't the only one, but you already had 1 and bought another 2 all the while encouraging the idea of it's small number, sc2forums said that there will be unlimited 2nd edition, couldn't you have waited for that?

I'm just pissed 'cause of how much I wanted one and now for this end I would have to be first or close to it at mineral hunt, which isn't very likely

 

How many do you think would have been left after the mineral hunt? My guess atleast 2 would have been bought any more than that and this argument becomes moot. (considering if you give my 2 back there would still only be 3)

Also, I originally was going to wait for Carriers to become available so I could get 2 of them first. Either way though I was planning to get more Motherships at some point in time. I just chose now because I was/am willing to bet they will be gona after the mineral hunt anyway (thats assuming history repeats itself).

Finally is there a difference between first and second edition? If you answer yes then you must see why to buy them before they were sold out. If you answer no then why not just wait for the second edition?
