That was so ballin' how I was the answer to one of the clues!!! (November MOTM Winner, play the campaign if you haven't and let me know how you like it!) Thanks for featuring me in the hunt sc2forums, I appreciated it.

 

woot! 16th place, 1500 minerals! Just barely made the cut, took me too long to find the answers to clue 7 and song clue.

nice fenix, I bet you feel lucky now. This hunt was hard, can't wait for the next one, lol.

If only I beat ximn, on well. Geting top 20 is good enough for me for my first mineral hunt.

Meh, if only I didn't give up on this I would've been in the top 20.

 

If I started at the first day I might have made it into the top 10...

 

what do you mean? I completed it in one day, so you started late then? How many hours did you spend on it to finish the hunt?

 

I started about 30 hours after it started, and it took me about 3 hours to finish it, (I had to walk the dog and stuff like that in between) so there was no way I could have reached the top 20...

 

wow, it took me 4 hours non-stop to solve it. Questions 1, 7, and the song one that Nate and JBL did.

1-I never did a hunt before, so I wasn't sure what to look for
7-the link was the period, that just wasn't fair
song-I went through the competition and arts sections before finding it in the vote section

 

It was my first hunt to, but when I read that Jon said; "I really like periods..." I knew what to do.

And the song wasn't that hard to find, but I didn't knew that I found the right song right away. I was looking for attachments and stuff like that...

But how is it possible that all those people don't understand that there aren't any clues on other sites? The first question kinda disappointed me, I thought the hunt was going to be a piece of cake at that moment. XD

 

#7 would have been easier if I kept up with this thread during the hunt, I spent too much time trying to figure it out myself to look for much help. That was a great place to find hints though, but they were lacking since people didn't want other's catching up to them.

 

my first hunt too, didn't have any problems with first clue
the infamous #7 - I couldn't associate the mineral penalties with mineral removing items. It just didn't occur to me somehow. But period? The clue stressed it enough that it's going to be small, it took me maybe 5-10 seconds of looking at the item's description.
@song, it got me at the link, I was almost sure I'm looking at the right song, but I was looking for text clue or mineral's icon, after a while of looking I just clicked the link for lack of better ideas

If I don't forget I'm gonna check something about the vesuvius one when I get home

 

For some reason, the period didn't stick out for me. I didn't associate the period with TINY. I kept trying to find something in the remove mineral item's picture.
