You can only corrupt buildings and flying units.

Exactly my thoughts. It would've been smarter for Blizzard to give an estimate about the specs rather than give hope to the people owning an old system without naming any technical information because people interpret "old system" and "perfectly capable of running" in different ways.
A perfect example would be me, who hoped that his humble 2GHz AMD processor with 1GB RAM and a 7300GT will be enough to run it on low graphics. But this illusion is just breaking into pieces with every "can't give a definite answer" line from Blizzard, which, continuously repeated over time seems to fortify your/my assumption.

kuvasz i wouldn't be so worried if I were you. Blizzard is REALLY good at making games with VERY low system requirements. Just look at WC3, runing "ok" with 256 mb RAM!?!?

Wait you got to play SC2?! You are so lucky haha.

Now theres one thing, maybe its been answered somewhere else maybe not, but will there still be the limit of how many units can be selected at once? It looked like so in the gameplay videos...

The reason they can't name minimum specs is because they're currently playing the game on much, much higher specs. The minimum specs become what they are through the continuous optimization of code. They have two forces driving the movement of the specs: the game's technology, being incomplete, can still drive them up, while, at the same time, optimization can pull them down. The minimum specs will be arrived upon when the technology is finished and a large chunk of the optimization is complete. Until then, they really won't be able to guess with strong enough accuracy as to what players will need.

They could say, "we're running them on machines with X specs, so they'll probably be lower" but the problem is, people will misread that and end up spending way too much for systems that can pull off the performance of System X when, by the time the game is released, they find that they were able to make it run on a system with much lower performance. Not releasing information on specifications goes hand-in-hand with their "it's not done until it's done" policy: they work to preserve their reputation by never quoting numbers that they may not be able to back.

10-Neon just answered the question in almost the exact phrasing that Dustin used when I asked him the question. Please refer to his post two above mine for your answer about game specifications.

As for the pictures, I apologize tremendously but it was a brand new camera. I had only tested it on still images, etc. It was indeed on the wrong mode and because I was writing the article at almost 7:30 am EST (the time I was still on) I did not feel the urge to remove the red eye. So I apologize for the low quality of media offered.

Also, please read past posts on this thread as I have edited them and answered questions asked in bold.

I still think you should've taken a buttonhole camera and planted it there.

    tnx for replying my Questions...
it seems that Blizzard is doing a great job about the visial/gamepley balancing, but yet seems to be on high en pc, fine by me.
i hope you have more screenshots and videos.
just update your 1st post when its ready :)

    tnx a lot

LOL i would have stollen the hard drive :p
or even better, made a virus and run it while they werent looking!
this virus would search for active applications, "Starcraft 2 alpha"
trace there location in the hard drive and super ZIP it and change the icon as a Screenshot,
then the virus would transfer those data to my 4gb memmory stick, or i would beg them to leave me take few screenshots from the pc that i have taken :D

then go home and find out that this edition needs a LAN server verifycation to start playing :( :upset: :upset: :-\

    Question
really did they said you anything about memmory sticks or screenshots, was there any security at all? how it worked?
