Psi Storm is better, IMO. It's less dependent on your opponent's unit mix.

Cause the game isn't out yet. That's why it isn't official.

Displacement would be good for early game, taking off a bit from weaker units, giving your rivaling units the advantage.

But there's the chance it'll just hit one or two of the same ones more than the entire rival force.

    Hrm.

Yeah, but those few will go down faster, thus reducing the total amount of damage the enemy can put out in the skirmish.

Maybe they could do somting like Plage in SC1 with the Zerg defiler.
it could bounce around and it will do the same effect as Plage.

    would that work>?

no, plague wouldn't work with the distribution type thing it does now.

The molecular displacement kicks ass early game if you have like 6 nullifiers, and around 20 lings, the displacement would rape them quite a bit, you got 600 dmg bouncing off, 1 zergling dies each .5 sec and they're dead pretty quickly.
BUT psi storm still kicks all ass UNDISPUTED because a storm damages as many units under it, 12 bcs and a storm hits? blam 600+ dmg right there (because most noobs dont survive to have battlecruisers and normal players would move them out of instinct)
molecular displacement would be used for KOing miners or a few of them using it on battlecruisers.
You cant denying that 4 molecular displacements would be usefull in fighting.

MD would be more useful early game then late cause if you drop to drop Nullifiers to kill probes/drones/scv it would take a bunch of units instead of 1 High Templar with Psi-Storm. The energy cost also affected my choice because MD cost i think 120 energy for 1 doing max of 50 on any unit but for Psi-Storm the damage is 110 for all units in that area.

For MD I could imagine a chain-lighning kind of stuff that hits 100 to the first, 90 to the second and so on, but 100 dmg distributed to 6 units for 125 energy....and storm is for 75 energy 112 dmg to all units, its just better :p I think this isn't the ability that will make the nullifier out favourite protoss caster, tchnically speaking force field is a much mroe useful ability as I see it.

If you had fast enough unit control you could box in units and then use psi storm, but md is for units bit spread out :)

I think molecular displacement is quite powerful, if hell be able to pull it out on zerg and terran marines or maybe even the mining field since 50 damage is good enuff to kill those low life units,, zergling, marine, drone, probe, scv? ... etc
