Re: I figured out why the tempest shield is different! (conclusive proof)

Where is the video where the Tempest attack the Cruisers?
I can't seem to find it on the current "Leaked Video"...
Until I see this, I won't be able to comment.

Taking this into consideration phoenix's overloading near these behemoths will prove to be quite deadly.

Aha! Thanks a lot, y'all. I had seen the video, but I guess I was too fixed on the new reavers during that last scene to pay attention to the aerial battle going on around them.
If the Tempest is weak to air attacks, and the Immortal cannot attack air, and the Collossus is weak to air attacks...
Surely they wouldn't imbalance the Protoss so much? *winces*

I still don't think its very weak against air units (we don't know if its damaged or not, you have not proven the fact that they were) but its probably strong against ground units like immortal is vs high damage units.

I guess from now on I will take discoveries like this to other communities, why should someone have to read through 3 pages of people stabbing in the dark just because some tight wad wants his thread at the top.

Don't act so emo. You can just post it in topics that already exist, people will read it. The moderators want to keep this forum tidy and having multiple topics about one unit isn't really tidy.

There is no need to be like that, Meloku. I don't see how you have had a bad experience at delivering this to us...
Oh, and I challenge you to find an SC2 community as good as this - I'd bet money against you finding one =P

    1. The 3 pages of stabbing in the dark is our communal brain storming, the working of the hive-mind. Ideas are bounced around, good ones rise to the top while bad ones are forgotten. You posed your thread as an "answer" to questions asked on this thread, on a topic that belonged on this thread. I merged the threads together (and this thread is currently the sum of three Tempest threads) because they are all on the same topic. You do not get your own thread because you made a "discovery." Your "discovery" is at the same level as all of the stabs in the dark on the Tempest, because it is about the Tempest. You could have taken the opportunity to prove your theory, against peer review, on an appropriate and centralized topic, but you instead chose to give up. Top-level threads do not exist for recognition of people, they exist for recognition of ideas.

    2. Don't insult other forum members. No matter where you end up going, it won't be welcome.

maybe sometimes its beter to have a bunch of small comunities rather than one big one, everyday knew people come here, i wonder when it will get to the point that there's so many people posting that nothing stays a float, like the old carrier

One of those explosions (The leftmost one) is the tempest itself. I count 12 other explosions. There are two explosions to the bottom-right (One of them is cut off partially) that are longer than the others; this is probably two "interceptors" dieing next to each other.

So, it seems that the Tempest can now carry 12 whatever-you-call-'ems.

so i guess, that the drones are weaker, and so are the carriers, either that or the anti air in this game is stronger, or both
