god danm... if lockdown were to work on the MS the way it does on all other units that would really blow... It's going to be rather interesting to see how Blizzard plans to balance this out.

 

Isn't lockdown something like 60 seconds? If a mothership were immobile for that long, it would definitely be dead.

 

It should be lockdownable a little. ( Around 5 Seconds )

But if it has the force field it shouldn't.

lockdown might not even come back

 

lockdown should definately come back, mayb not used by ghosts though.
Blizz will probably say that becuase the MS is a massive unit(city), a single lockdown has almost no effect.

 

If the MS is representative of the new super units I can’t wait to see what balances them out.
Mind controlling one of those might be way too easy if DA's are comming back.

 

If lockdown doesn't come back at all I will be pissed. If it doesn't affect the mothership i wont mind too much because there will be something else that will kill it.

 

I think the rational thing for Blizzard to do is to classify MS as a building if they don't want it to be lockdownable. Can ghost lockdown flying Terran buildings? But, Terran can still use EMP to remove shield and mana. This will severely decreaase the ability of MS to maybe a BS without yamato.

Just wondering, for a toss player, how would u counter MS if u urself does not have one?

Do you mean that the MS will use Black Hole on the other MS and insta-KO it? That'd be a tad imbalanced, don't you think?

 

i meant MS use black hole on the Warp rays and phenoix. Also, I don't think black hole works on other MS, as MS should be considered a building most likely. Imagine putting a black hole on flying terran buildings and instantly sucks in all of them.

 

Yeah it would be really imbalanced. Besides, if MS nr1 who first cast the Black Hole is impervious to it's effects (i.e it wouldn't get sucked in) then why should MS nr2, with identical design, not be?

 

i think blackhole will work on other MSs and terran buildings. it would be pretty lame to see a fleet of BCs get sucked in then a CC just floats through.

 

Hm, I think that they might classify it as a building to save themselves some balance work. Lockdown and EMP must come back, they where key skills of the terrans.

 

how often do you really see a mass of terran buildings flying around unless the person was beaten and trying to escape? In that case, I'd love it if you could just blackhole the buildings cause it saves you the trouble of having to kill them and make sure they are all dead

 

or when they are trying to move production to the front lines.

 

well, a battlecruiser is waaaaaay bigger than a barrack or a CC, so yeah they should be blackholable
