I like the old fashioned Psionic Waves.

The new Twilight Archon one is decent but it looks too small for something that powerful.

twilight archon is sexy enough as it is. not a "lazor" for an archon. he emits and uses pure psionic energy

I never wanted a laser for the Archon and Twilight Archon. I like the old attack and the new one looks like a downgrade.

    sorry for calling them lasers!
whatever you call it(beams or waves) there are too many of continuous firing stuff.
It's way too repititive and I think we need something like dragoon's missile or corsair's. Perhaps something new would be much better!

    ROFL!.

Terrans use Weapons such as bullets or fire. They are advanced but not laser advanced.

Protoss Uses lasers and waves. They are around 100 Years ahead of terran in technology. And they're aliens.

Zergs are just evolved with instict.

    Er... the wraith has lasers.

And the protoss stuff isn't technically lasers.

According to the Colossus page, they use "thermal lances," making the Colossus more of a direct rip from the book War of the Worlds than the recent movie War of the Worlds was... except the Colossus has one more leg and one more heat ray than the Tripods.

Oh, and Battlecruisers use lasers too, and so do Ghosts, but not in quite the same way.

    Ghosts have laser pointers.
I think the Colossi from the concept art had 3 legs. Can't really tell though.

Probably wanted to make it not a tripod like in War of the Worlds so they wouldn't be sued by some overzealous exec or something

How will the damage count in lasers? I'm still wondering about that...
Will it be continuous? Or will it be like (let's say Warp Ray did 5 damage) Warp Ray do 5 damage per .5 second?

    Good question. No idea.

edit: actually, for the colossus, the thermal lance stops firing after a while even though it doesn't shut off after it kills a target so, the total damage of the whole long burst will probably be it's damage

Since the Colossi Thermal Lances move around after killing a unit and targetting a new one, it'll most likely do damage to whatever the lance sweeps over while making the transition.

i think it would give you the dps (dmg per sec) for the colossus, but for the warp ray it would probably give you a sort of give you something like "5dps compounding every 3 seconds" or something like that

My personal theory is that 4 legs is less awkward to animate than 3.
