Predator Scrapped!

The pred should come back with another extra ability like afterburners, the ability that made the valks godly or something. Put it on the pred, becuase the pred has somwhat crappy anti air capabilities. with afterburners it'll be more usefull.

 

How do you know that? You've seen it in action or something?

 

well it does 4 damage with medium attack rate, so i'm assuming it's below average.

 

How do you know that? Is your source reliable? I've never heard of those numbers...

Yes, Gasmaskguy, I've seen those pics too. Predator does 4 damage in a fast rate and only at air-targets. That's the reason my idea for Predator redesign focused on this.

Well, it was a picture from a prety crappy camera and even I saw it lol. Don't know where it is now though... I saw it at this forum so if no one killed the thread then it must still be out there somewhere..

I think the predator should have been an anti air kind of thing but I thought it was cool.

 

IMO the simple reason that the predator was scrapped was that it was AA only. As it currently stands all the air units (both Terran and Protoss) have a ground attack capability.

 

bring back the predator for lore wise sakes.

 

The Predator had a ground attack. It was probably scrapped because the unit didn't do what they wanted it to do.

Yes, really. That article is wrong. It was the Viking in air mode that didn't have a ground attack.

Even further, it did not act like the Valkyrie at all, It was more like the Wraith (I think that is what Blizzard was going for, because they used the Wraith soundset as a placeholder). It could only attack one thing at once with its' main weapon, but it might have been the case that the Point Defense mode could have targeted multiple projectiles. I don't know because I never got to use that mode in combat.

 

Hmm, That's too bad. I liked the Predator. Seemed like a cool idea, but then again, I'd love to see a new factory unit.

 

The new Factory unit has already been revealed.
It's a beefed up Firebat.
