    *sigh*

Why not just have a trigger that gives the win under these conditions -conditions apply to losing players:

:: player has no -production- buildings anymore
:: player has no attack units anymore
:: player has no sufficient recources left
:: player has lowest point total

This trigger tries to go of once a minute, and every time a player has these values, the player is eliminated.

It can never go of in the middle of the game, because it only goes of in situations that cause a draw. And with the point thing you solve the problem of both having all values, so somebody still loses.

Typed this all at once, so it might have some mistakes in it, but what do you guys think?

And for Drones, you can always use Consume.
    its better than sacrificing Zerglings.

The Terran probably lifted and hid a building.

And the Production Victory (or whateer) seems good.

    i like that elimination trigger.
but i also like the recycling idea,
maybe if you get 25-10 (random number each time or depends on how much damage it has) back for the 50 you spent.

so you it would be kinda like a last option because you're losing quite a bit if you recycle a BC or any high cost unit.
however for terran or protoss you should only be able to recycle mechanical units and zerg can recycle/reabsorb whatever

just don't make it 50 for 40 because thats too lenient

I said many time only the workers (SCV, Drone, Probe) must be recycled inside the main structure (CC, Nexus, Hatchery/Lait/Hive), or maybe by the Queen for the Zerg.

No units, just workers. The Queen can consume them, and get minerals back, not energy

I like the recycle idea. Terrans cashing in workers is very in line lorewise with their general style and current salvage ability.

But I think your original concept needs nerfing.

How about just SCVs and you only get back 25 mins.
Say you decide to turn in those 40 SCVs you were saying you have left over when you make a lot of exps. You would receive 1000mins and 40 supply. Not bad considering those little guys worked hard for you.

Think of it like trading in a car. You don't get nearly what you paid for it, but you did put 80k miles on it and Neil Patrick Harris made a few love stains in the back seat. You should be so lucky to get back half of what you originally paid.

Being able to turn in combat units because you made a mistake or your opponent made a brilliant counter is plain OP.

Once a SCV is recycled into the CC we earn back 40 minerals, that was what I wrote before a lot of time.
A SCV costs originally 50 minerals and I said that we will gain 40 minerals back from him once he is recycled. So we lose 10 minerals. I wrote that before.

Same thing for the Drones and the Probes. Maybe the Drone should be "assimilated" by the Queen.

I already see it happening: in the midst of all the action when your base is harassed, you try to quikly get your SCVs to safety...accidently you push the recycle button, GG :D

then bye bye dear SCVs ! :)
But you earn 40 (or less ?) minerals from them, and you build some new offensive units. But with the time they are being built your base is completely destroyed too ... :(

I think recycling units, even only workers, would be pretty lame. It just doesn't make for good balance when you don't actually lose much by building the wrong units or too many workers.

If they made it so you can only recycle the peons (scv/probe/drone) then yes you get 30-40 back or on a percentage of how much damage it took,
    40=100%
    20=50%
    and so on.

Its actually pretty useful to recycle workers, cause sometimes you end up having too many or don't know what to do with them. This happens when you have no more minerals to harvest in a certain part of the map.

Yes, it is useful. Of course !
Because maybe at a moment at the end of a game once you will recycle your peons this will be the ultimate moment where you can change your strategy and maybe win the game. Is this cheat ? You can also send your peons to attack the last units too.

@Dragon God : to be frank with you I didn't think about the level of damage the peons can have before being recycled and so how much minerals they can give back. Hey, well done ! :)

    Thanks SOGEKING:yes:!

I think that Blizzard should add this function into the game, even though it may come as an update later on.

Yes, maybe this function can be added later in the game. For instance when the program "sees" that it is the end of the mission, and that for instance there are too many supply for a lot of workers, etc ... I don't know how we can define the end of the game so when this option (of recycling) can be activated.

    That was a suggestion.

But for the Zerg, if the Queen is the only unit which can assimilate drones so we'll need a queen at the end of a game, so she will have to live until there.
