Poll: Which race will you play as your main in SC2?

Protoss all the way. Simply because their buildings look so cool.

 

I will play a coin.
As in I'll flip a coin before each match. Heads - Protoss and tails - Terran.
There is no way to make SC2 pick you one of 2 races randonly and never the third. So I'll have to use the coin .

 

I've been playing Protoss from the beginning and will continue to until the end.

im going to play terran like everyone else, why? because i love space marines. and because i love orbital drops, which ghosts can call in. BLAME! but protoss looks amazing, i mean really impressive so we'll see. . .

 

Despite me liking zerg more and more, still going to main protoss. I love sentries too much

 

i think everyone will play the race that is most powerful, especially the competitive players. there will be a lot of balancing issues of the bat and it's going to take a while to get this game balanced (it took what? 12 patches to balance out SC1?) so for now i think everyone will just play what gets them more wins. i just watched a vid on youtube, crota(?)-Terran vs. Scowarr- Protoss and Crota rushed Scowarr with maruaders, hellions and one medivac dropship and won the game within 10 minutes. . . idk about you but if that's how online play is going to be im kinda uninterested.

Zerg...why? They look so freaking disgusting and awsome. Plus the buildings look pregnant when they're morphing.

 

Different races have different playstyles, and people play whatever best suits them. "playing the most powerful race" will never be a factor, because Blizzard is constantly working on balance to make the races as even as possible.

You have to choose one race and stick to it. It took a long time for SC1 to be fully balanced (SC2 is in beta and there have already been 15 patches).

SC2 is only in beta and its a lot, lot better than SC1 was in the early stages.

The balance is good enough at the moment that high-level tournaments are very viable and being consistently played, with different races taking top spots. And this is only the beta.

no, there is a most powerful race and it is terran. marine/marauder is better than ling/roach and zealot/stalker. They are the only race with really good healing (medivacs), they have siege tanks, so they are the best at turtling, they have reapers (better than zerglings because they can wall jump and are ranged) and vikings, so they are amazing at harrassment. (vikings > mutas, and void rays died really easily), they have mech. they annihilate every combination of any small units.

 

Dude...vikings are NOT greater than muta's. I mean, in 1v1 I think the viking would win, but the true zerg player would have at least 5 or 6 muta's for every viking you pump out (at least in my experience it's been that way).

My favorite/most played race for SC2 has been weird. I tried terran at first in the beta just for the hell of it, started to suck some serious balls with them, then I switched to protoss. Had some success with them, but soon got bored of them for some reason, then played random for awhile. Lately though, I've been all about the zerg. I friggen love how macro-tastic they are and the ability to easily get good map control early on and swarm over your enemies >: D (my new favorite unit is now the Baneling...YEEEEAH!! BANELING BUST!!!)

 

Terran all the way.

But I'm not 100% loyal to them, so I like to sneaky peaky the others sometimes.
