Sorry to rain on your parade, Major Willy, but I had to change my vote. Thee have been a few changes with Terran recently that I really haven't agreed with in the least.
The Banshee no longer having an area of effect attack, the Medic and Dropship being merged on account of Reapers, and the Jackal.
In my opinion, Banshees, being Terran's only dedicated Air-to-Ground shouldn't have to compensate for the fact that they've been given too many Ground-to-Ground units, Reapers should seldom be in a situation where they require Medics because it's not their role to be having a proper face to face battle ahead of the rest of the army, and if I were to start talking about the Jackal I'd have to skip school for the next few weeks.
I love the Zerg but I'd need to see more before voting for them, and the Terran have just been messed up recently, so I've changed to the Protoss.

I didn't waver, I changed. And I didn't change because some really good stuff was released for another race, I changed because I now that Terran have been nerfed, or 'crapified' if we're getting technical, they will no longer be my main, Protoss will be.

Yeah, I know, considering the circumstances (such as release of the most innovative race so far and major nerfing* of terran) it's understandable that people would change, especially from terran (and) to Zerg.
Abandoning the light of Aiur is unforgivable though, you know who you are!

*as in scrapping interesting mechanics, abusing poor Thor etc

Mmm, apart from abusing poor Thor, what mechanics have they scrapped from Terran?

But I'll stay with Terran all the way to the bitter end. The Wraith and the Marine are the units that got me into SC in the first place.

Oh yeah, I just thought of something quite 'biblical': the medic's life sure was short wasn't it? It came out in BW and now is gone again. Like they say, it can save others but it couldn't save itself.

Ah, yes, thanks for informing me about the former and reminding me about the latter. On the topic about Banshees and stealth, they should just bring back the Wraith and Terran's antiair problem will be solveable instead of dumping that irksome responsibility on the Thor. At least to me, it makes complete sense: if Terran has the tech to make stealth fighters, why not have most Terran air being stealthy, especially when they can already make such a dedicated attack fighter. Lore-wise (and based on common sense) why would anyone drop the anti-air wraith after coming up with the anti-ground banshee?

I briefly listed a couple a few posts before.
The Banshee lost its area of effect due to the Terran's overcrowded Ground-to-Ground division. Terran's Air-to-Ground shouldn't have to suffer because too many Ground-to-Ground units have been added.
The Medic has been merged with the Dropship because they can't keep up with Reapers. Reapers shouldn't be in situations where they require constant healing. They're designed for hit-and-run scenarios and aren't supposed to stand-and-fight.
The Jackal has an old, pre-existing mechanic that hasn't been removed for StarCraft2, it just adds to the cramped Ground-to-Ground force and it, fairly specifically, was the unit that lead to the removal of the Banshee's area of effect attack. I could go on, but there's already a thread on the Jackal for that.
The Banshee isn't a replacement for the Wraith, it only took its Cloak. There is still another unknown StarPort unit which will most likely have to make up close to the entirety of the Terran's Air-to-Air.

My bad, I normally read the entire thread before posting, but not this time. Apologies.

Don't worry about it. By the way, for anyone who's interested, here's my rant on the Jackal. I was thinking of retyping it, but there's no reason to re-invent the wheel. It pretty much covers the entirety of the reasoning for my switch to Protoss.
By the way, I hate it when these long and time-consuming posts that require a fair bit of effort are followed up by:

I'm not having a go at you or anything, and it wasn't an attack against you. I'm just saying that I find it frustrating when I put the effort into a meaningful and very significant post, and it's followed up by a short and relatively insignificant one liner. Imagine if it was you who put a huge amount of effort into a post, making extremely valid and noteworthy points about a topic that you care about, and then the next person says "I hope it's fast!". Again, no offence, but it's a real disappointment and it just make you feel like you're being ignored.
You're entitled to your opinion, and I'm entitled to mine. This is mine.

Yes, but even how long your/mine posts are, you cant really "think/trust" that someone/the next person will answer them. I have made some really long and IMO "good" posts, where no one answered them at all. If you always are hoping that someone will answer on your post, long or short, then you can be sure to meet disapointment.

I don't always expect the next person to reply to the post above them, I was merely stating that it's frustrating when that happens. You just said that you also find it frustrating when it happens, so what are you arguing about?
I've already said it wasn't an attack against you, it was just an example.

Yeah, it just looked a bit "agressive", and your post sounded a little bit like you wanted a asnwer to all your posts :D

The soviet union belives in power of the working class, not fashistic Protoss or Zerg. Therefore the raw industrial power of Terrans is the obvious choice for us.

Now seriously, I have no clue! :) The Terran new tank looks so freaking awesome that I am thinking about divorcing my current wife just to get that cutepie. Protoss look incredibly overpowered when watching the Zerg vs Protoss videos and of course the Zerg, absolutely the most distincted and original race in Starcraft 2...
I used to be mostly Terran player, however I am a bit disappointed with the SCII Terran at least compared to the other two races. Oh well, Ill have to wait and see.

If you ask me the Terran look the most overpowered. They got the most flexibility in there units.

Its not only about the strength of a race, but about its uniqueness and originality.

EDIT: Fixed, and to my comrade bellow me, I hope you were joking. Dont make me tell Stalin that you fancy a race with no social feeling and mindlessly following Kerrigan rule! Do you have any dignity at all? Are you trying to disrespects millions of our people that died to free us all from Hitler?
